Job Description

Vice President of Marketing, Revenue

Destination Pet, LLC

• Member of Yourgi leadership team • Large team leadership, team hiring/growth, and direction setting • Executive alignment and communication, including board of directors • Define and evolve Yourgi’s brand narrative to resonate with both pet parents and pet care professionals • Build trust and credibility in a category where care, safety, and reliability are essential • Create the marketing / revenue strategy and activate the hyperlocal plan across owned, earned, and paid channels • Maximize bookings/revenue and generate self-sustaining atomic networks in each city/market • Lead the comprehensive demand-side go-to-market strategy and execution, from traffic origination to revenue • Traffic origination: bring new, high-quality visits to Yourgi, prioritizing direct and earned traffic • New account creation: convert traffic to new Yourgi account signups that have high intent to book • New bookings: incentivize new account signups to place their 1st booking through a clear value proposition and rewards • Repeat bookings: influence repeat bookings based on a best-in-class 1st booking experience, a clear reason to return, and rewards • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Growth and Operations to optimize the consumer journey and maximize revenue • Use data and consumer insights to continuously refine messaging, positioning, and channel mix over time

Job Requirements

  • Proven success building and scaling marketing strategies and revenue at a B2C digital marketplace company (pet industry experience is a plus but not required)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a holistic marketing plan and roadmap across multiple user groups and maturity stages
  • Experience in early-stage or growth-stage startup environments
  • Comfort leading through ambiguity and rapid test & learn tactics
  • Strong analytical and hypothesis-driven decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and the ability to rally teams around a shared vision
  • Passion for building delightful consumer experiences—especially those that involve pets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, economics, sales, operations, or a related field (MBA preferred but not required)
  • 10+ years experience in marketing, growth, revenue generation and ownership, and/or business development
  • 3+ years of B2C digital marketplace experience with expertise in activating atomic networks at a hyperlocal level
  • Comprehensive marketing leadership and expertise across creative, brand, hyperlocal activation, growth, social/influencers, affiliate, partnership, PR, and CRM/loyalty
  • Proven track record in scaling consumer products and/or digital marketplaces, ideally within pet tech, wellness, e-commerce, or services
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to connect product vision to company strategy and financial outcomes
  • Deep understanding of pet owner needs, digital user journeys, and marketplace dynamics
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-growth organizations through change, ambiguity, and rapid iteration
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder alignment skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with fluency in marketing analytics, experimentation, and user insights.
