Job Description Summary GE Vernova – Grid Software works with Electric Transmission, Distribution, and Wholesale Energy Market companies to deliver mission-critical industrial software for managing the grid. We are expanding our North American Pre-Sales team with a specialist dedicated to our Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS). In this role, you will demonstrate how our solutions meet the evolving demands of Distribution System Operators (DSOs) in a decarbonizing world. As a subject matter expert and strategic lead, you will collaborate with internal development, technical pre-sales, and commercial teams to build pipeline, drive complex sales cycles, and achieve our regional operating plan. Job Description Essential Responsibilities We are looking for a candidate with deep experience in the Electric Distribution Utility sector who excels at translating complex technical capabilities into impactful, "day-in-the-life" storytelling. - Solution Design: Establish a deep understanding of ADMS and Outage Management Systems (OMS) to formulate bespoke solutions for customers across North America (NAM). - Regulatory Alignment: Translate electrical market standards and regional regulations into specific GE Vernova product offerings. - Trusted Partnership: Act as the "Trusted Advisor" for both customer technologists and internal GE Vernova stakeholders. - Technical Leadership: Lead and write/validate technical proposals to ensure they align perfectly with customer requirements and architectural standards. - Storytelling & Demos: Present and demonstrate GE Vernova’s Grid Management solutions at all levels, from control room operators to C-suite executives. - Industry Advocacy: Enthusiastically represent GE Vernova at sales forums, industry events, and conferences to drive brand awareness and demand. - Voice of the Customer: Interface directly with Product Management to influence the roadmap based on NAM market trends and customer feedback. - Systems Architecture: Define ADMS control center configurations and design robust architectures that meet both customer needs and GE standards. Required Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related discipline. - Pre-Sales Excellence: 5+ years of experience as a customer-facing technical solution architect. - Domain Expertise: Proven experience with Distribution Optimization and Outage Response within the North American utility landscape. - Protocol & Standards: Familiarity with SCADA systems and protocols including DNP3, ICCP, and IEC 61850. Desired Characteristics - Cross functional experience and knowledge of Transmission Management and Renewable management system is a bonus. - Advanced Applications: Hands-on knowledge of FLISR, Volt-Var Optimization (VVO), state estimation, and forecasting solutions. - Grid Innovation: Experience with renewable energy integration, DER (Distributed Energy Resources), and DERMS software solutions. - Modern IT/OT: Knowledge of highly available, self-healing systems, containerization, microservices, and cloud architecture (AWS/Azure). - Security & Hardware: Understanding of cyber security standards for operational systems and general IT networking/hardware. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: ineligible.
