Solution Engineer 3 – Financial Systems
Hyland
• Design, prototype, build and configure business solutions based on feedback from product management, stakeholders, and customers, in which extensive experience and best practice knowledge is applied • Lead business analysis sessions where information about business process and concerns are gathered from key internal business stakeholders and best practice guidance is provided to guide agreed upon solution • Compose documentation outlining requirements for building the business application • Test business applications and ensure performance is optimal and resolve any issues; advise business customer on testing practices • Support troubleshooting efforts and investigate applications and integrations to identify areas for improvement • Manage work to project timelines and manage scope with guidance from team management • Identify, review and evaluate team identified enhancements to product functionality; escalate appropriate enhancement requests to evolve software • Identify third-party product enhancements or defects; contact vendors of third-party products to communicate product enhancements or defects • Ensure all solutions are developed and documented in a manner that allows for ease of maintenance by our support team • Transition key information to application support team to ensure continued successful support of internal business customer • Provide guidance and mentorship to other team members • Comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland’s Information Systems Security Policy
Job Requirements
- Experience administering Workday, including security setup, business processes, and integrations to other systems.
- Experience with programmatic capabilities like Workday EIB, Core Connectors, BIRT and Workday Studio is required.
- Workday Financials experience is required.
- Experience with additional financial system applications including Avalara, Zuora Revenue (RevPro), Salesforce Billing, Boomi, and Avalara is preferred.
- Significant experience in implementing integrations with other business applications is required.
- Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Speak or write with ease, clarity and impact, using a communication style appropriate to the subject and the audience
- Strong at investigating situations or issues to get relevant information; adept at asking probing questions to successfully obtain quality information
- Strong collaboration skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areas
- Able to effectively manage a consistent customer-oriented project workload; effectively communicates project delays to management team and proactively seeks additional customer project work
- Up to 5% travel time required
- Bachelor's degree
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job.
