Job Description Certified Support Staff focuses on promoting student success by responding to identified needs through implementation of a comprehensive programs and services that help guide all learners in their academic success, personal and social development, and career and college planning and readiness. Bachelor’s degree, 0-1 year of related professional experience Required Certificates and Licenses: Missouri Elementary Teaching Certification Preferred - OR appropriate Elementary certification in another state with the ability to obtain MO licensure within 60 days of employment. Residency Requirements: Must reside in Missouri - This position is remote and strongly prefers candidates that reside in Missouri. May consider candidates that reside in surrounding states. The Elementary School Coach supports student retention by providing non-instructional intervention and support to students in grades K-5. This individual is responsible for working with students and parents to identify online learning strengths and areas for improvement, provide excellent customer service, and ensure student improvement through intervention strategies. The Academic Coach will monitor, track and address the needs of the students specifically about online learning success factors while building and maintaining relationships with students and parents. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties. - Analyzes student strengths and challenges as identified in the online learner profile and delivers targeted intervention to drive student success according to a prescribed process. - Conducts orientation sessions for students and learning coaches at the beginning of each cohort; Educates on system navigation techniques and tips through emails, emails, orientations, phone calls and by moderating the online learning course; - Monitors student academic progress key success metrics for identified students, and make intervention program adjustments to meet student needs; - Conducts small group online Student and Parent Resource Sessions on academic topics as scheduled; Maintains regular contact and meetings with students and families, as assigned, via telephone, e-mail, instant messenger, and/or web conferencing to foster strong academic relationships and provide necessary support; Provides timely responses to all phone calls, emails, and e-mails received from students, staff and parents, and follow-up on teacher escalations; - Distributes daily and weekly TotalView communiqués containing important school-level reminders; Formally communicates student progress, contact metrics and concerns/accomplishments to the Department Head on a weekly basis; - Facilitates students changes such as program changes, withdraws, accelerations, extensions, and re-enrollment activities based on individual student needs; - Participates in IA staff meetings, K12 Professional Development sessions, IA meetings, committee meetings, and other meetings as assigned; - Assists with IA student network and community efforts as directed. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Associate degree AND - 2 or more years customer service experience - Experience working with children or youth - Demonstrated proficiency in using online tools and applications - Professional verbal and writing skills - Comfortable with online and telephone communication with customers - Ability to pass required background check. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor’s Degree - Tutoring experience or experience as a school or classroom aid Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range. Exempt (salary): Post annual salary We anticipate the salary range to be $44,452.00 - $55,565.00 - $66,678.00. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.
