Job Requirements
- 2–4 years of direct experience in employee relations/performance management.
- Working knowledge of U.S. employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and Title VII.
- Exposure to Canadian employment laws a plus.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills; able to influence and coach managers and employees with empathy and confidence.
- Proven ability to manage confidential, sensitive, and complex situations with professionalism and discretion.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with ER case management system a plus.
- Experience facilitating or supporting manager training is a plus.

Role Description The School of Professional Studies seeks an adjunct faculty member to deliver high quality learning experiences and education for students in the online, asynchronous, self-paced format beginning at various points throughout the year. Instructors will deliver a pre-developed course, adding their subject matter expertise and real-world examples to developed content. Instructors will play an important role in the continuous improvement and overall success of the course. The selected candidate will have responsibilities teaching Anatomy & Physiology lecture and lab courses to self-paced, online, part-time learners. Subject matter may include: - The cellular makeup and tissue organization of the human body - The eleven organ systems - The concept of homeostasis - The underlying principles common to all systems - Delivers didactic and laboratory instruction in an online, self-paced format. - Uses the University’s learning management system to post syllabus, assignments and other materials and to communicate with students. - Facilitates student progress in an asynchronous environment by providing timely, individualized feedback on assessments and learning activities. - Advises and assists students through office hours or scheduled appointments, by videoconference, phone or email, and through other University-approved mechanisms. - Provides service including student mentoring, ongoing course development, and assessment. - Responds to student emails and Blackboard messages within 2 business days. - Monitors student engagement and proactively reaches out to learners who are inactive or falling behind to support course completion. - Identifies and escalates student concerns, such as academic challenges, engagement issues, or policy-related questions, to School of Professional Studies staff to support timely resolution. - Maintains a strong online presence through consistent communication, announcements, and availability within the learning management system. - Grades assignments, quizzes, and exams within established turnaround times to support student momentum in a self‑paced format. - Participates in required faculty meetings and training sessions related to online teaching and educational technology within the School of Professional Studies. - Submits final grades in a timely manner in accordance with School of Professional Studies policies. - Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.
