This position reports to: Director, Data Center Services Center of Excellence __ In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Project and Site Managers. You will also be responsible for supporting and maintaining documentation support related to issue management and resolution. Additionally, you may be asked to provide support for resource scheduling and parts tracking and disposition as well as attending customer meetings related to issue resolution and material tracking. This role is supporting our Electrification Services business for medium and low voltage products along with paralleling switchgear and spare parts in the Data Center Services Center of Excellence, ensuring customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and on-time and on-budget project delivery. The work model for the role is: Remote #LI- Remote This role is contributing to the Electrification Services Data Center Services Center of Excellence in the United States. You will be mainly accountable for: Project execution - Conducts analysis of planned versus actual project performance under the supervision of the Project Manager, Site Manager or in conjunction with Project Planning and Controls Specialist. - Support in preparing materials and assisting in project reviews. Stakeholder relations - Communicates appropriate information to project stakeholders (mostly internal) effectively. Planning and scheduling - Defines and applies basic project planning techniques on ongoing projects and drives the updating process. - Coordinates with related project members for planning and control requirements effectively. Project Administrative Tasks - Controls documentation accuracy and consistency based on tasks assigned by Project Manager or Site Manager and procedures agreed with the customer. - Interacts effectively and oversees documentation requirements and organization in collaboration with Project and Site Manager. Qualifications for the role: - 5+ years of experience in the construction, data center, electrical or utilities industries, working as a project coordinator or scheduler. - A Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration or equivalent relevant experience is preferred. - Sound knowledge of scheduling tools, project management techniques, financial controls and customer communications in the data center construction market - Knowledge of MS suite of products, Google suite of products (Sheets, Docs, Drive, and Slides), SAP, and project issue resolution software (BIM, Compass, CxAlloy, Procore, etc.). - Ability to communicate effectively to both external customers, vendors and other partners, as well as internal stakeholders. - Create Purchase Orders and enter Goods Receipts in Easy Procurement for Surge Team costs, PPE supplies, FRC clothing and other required materials. - Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US. Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in the construction, data center, electrical or utilities industries, working as a project coordinator or scheduler.
