Job Description

Senior MarTech Operations Manager

Airbnb

Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way. The Community You Will Join: Our mission on Marketing Technology (MarTech) is to provide a state-of-the-art platform and measurement capabilities to enable marketing and product teams to engage with our customers effectively. Everyday millions of Airbnb customers are reached via our streamlined platform over comprehensive channels, such as Email, Push, SMS, and external Ads Platforms. We deliver substantial business impact by enabling numerous stakeholders across the company, including Marketing (Brand and Performance), Guest/Host, Policy, and more. Marketing Technology Operations is part of a platform team responsible for building the signal infrastructure that powers advertising and measurement globally. Our team deploys Airbnb’s unique first-party data to leading advertising platforms such as Meta, Google, and TikTok to power personalized, effective, and measurable marketing. We are building systems that make marketing infrastructure increasingly autonomous — where tagging, validation, and signal delivery are highly automated and marketers can focus on strategy rather than operational execution. The Difference You Will Make: We are seeking a Senior Marketing Technology Operations Manager with a strong foundation in marketing tracking who is excited about using AI and automation to build scalable marketing systems. This role will partner closely with engineering to design and build our next generation robust, and scalable tracking platform that minimizes manual intervention and maximizes signal quality and reliability. You will work at the intersection of marketing, data and engineering. Your work will ensure that our marketing teams can leverage rich first-party signals to drive efficient growth, improve measurement, and unlock new opportunities for experimentation. We are particularly excited about applying AI to marketing technology — from automating tag deployment and debugging to building systems that monitor signal health and detect issues automatically. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about experimenting with AI tools, and improving complex marketing infrastructure. A Typical Day: - Develop solutions to upgrade our marketing tracking that minimize manual intervention while ensuring quality and reliability. - Use AI tools to streamline and automate MarTech Ops responsibilities such as tag deployment, debugging, and monitoring signal health. - Be hands on working in tag manager and our MMP to set up new ad vendors and QA marketing tracking. - Partner with marketing and data science to deploy first party audiences for ad tracking and measurement. - Stay up to date on global privacy frameworks and regulations (e.g., ATT, GDPR) to ensure all marketing tracking practices are compliant and uphold data integrity. Your Expertise: - 8+ years of relevant work experience, ideally in a high-growth tech startup, performance-oriented marketing organization, or agency - Hands-on experience with paid social and performance advertising platforms such as Meta and Google - Experience using AI tools to automate operational workflows - Experience working with tag management systems such as Google Tag Manager, CAPI solutions and mobile measurement platforms such as Singular, AppsFlyer or Adjust - Strong analytical skills that can adapt to new tools and capabilities - Understanding of how privacy frameworks and regulations (such as ATT and GDPR) impact marketing measurement and tracking - Proven ability to lead, influence, and collaborate across organizational boundaries with a track record of building strong relationships with cross-functional partners Preferred Qualifications - Passion for building systems that reduce manual work and allow teams to focus on higher-impact strategic initiatives - Experience partnering closely with engineering teams to design scalable systems and automation - Willingness and ability to get into the technical weeds when troubleshooting complex issues across tracking systems, APIs, and data pipelines - Current or previous experience being an Airbnb host is a plus Your Location: This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. While the position is Remote Eligible, you must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity. Click here for the up-to-date list of excluded states. This list is continuously evolving, so please check back with us if the state you live in is on the exclusion list If your position is employed by another Airbnb entity, your recruiter will inform you what states you are eligible to work from. Our Commitment To Inclusion & Belonging: Airbnb is committed to working with the broadest talent pool possible. We believe diverse ideas foster innovation and engagement, and allow us to attract creatively-led people, and to develop the best products, services and solutions. All qualified individuals are encouraged to apply. We strive to also provide a disability inclusive application and interview process. If you are a candidate with a disability and require reasonable accommodation in order to submit an application, please contact us at: reasonableaccommodations@airbnb.com. Please include your full name, the role you’re applying for and the accommodation necessary to assist you with the recruiting process. We ask that you only reach out to us if you are a candidate whose disability prevents you from being able to complete our online application. How We'll Take Care of You: Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits. Pay Range $129,000—$152,000 USD

This person will be both a strategic partner and a hands-on operator — ensuring the marketing engine runs smoothly, efficiently, and intelligently. Reporting directly to the VP, Growth, this role is a critical part of the marketing leadership team. You’ll oversee the systems, processes, and project management frameworks that enable growth marketing, creative, and analytics teams to execute at scale. You’ll manage cross-functional initiatives, streamline workflows, and ensure flawless execution across campaigns, launches, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate is deeply embedded in growth marketing — not just supporting it from the outside, but fluent in its channels, metrics, and cadences. You understand how growth teams think and operate, and you’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves alongside them to drive outcomes. The opportunity - Build and optimize marketing operations: Design and implement the systems, tools, and processes that keep the marketing organization running efficiently and effectively. - Lead cross-functional projects: Coordinate high-impact initiatives across growth, lifecycle, creative, and product marketing — ensuring alignment, accountability, and flawless execution. - Operationalize launches: Manage timelines, deliverables, and dependencies for marketing campaigns and product launches, ensuring no detail is missed and every stakeholder is informed. - Implement and manage tools: Own marketing’s adoption of systems like project management software and asset management platforms, as well as playing a key role in other marketing tool integration e.g. CRM. Align teams around clear processes that drive efficiency and consistency. - Bridge creative and growth: Ensure creative production is streamlined and data-informed, running experimentation matrices, tracking creative performance, and optimizing resources to support growth marketing needs. - Operational liaison with parent company: As Breakout integrates with Kraken more deeply, marketing operations will play a key role in process development for co-marketing efforts. - Operationalize experimentation frameworks: Manage a testing pipeline that enables the team to test creative, channels, and messaging efficiently with minimal wasted spend. - Drive operational excellence: Standardize planning, prioritization, and reporting processes to ensure visibility, focus, and momentum across marketing functions. - Champion AI-powered workflows: Identify and implement AI tools and automation to accelerate the team’s output — from prompt pipelines to agent-based workflows that reduce manual lift across the marketing org. Skills you should HODL - 5+ years of experience in marketing operations, project management, or integrated marketing management, ideally in a high-growth tech, fintech, or crypto environment. - Strong understanding of growth marketing — channels, metrics, experimentation, and how growth teams operate. You’re embedded in the work, not just coordinating around it. - Deep expertise in project management and systems thinking — able to connect strategy to execution seamlessly. - Proven success managing complex, cross-functional initiatives from conception through delivery. - Proficiency with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and similar platforms. You use AI daily to accelerate your work and bring that mindset to the team. Bonus: experience building automations or agent-based workflows using AI. - Skilled at implementing and managing marketing tools (CRM, PM, collaboration, analytics) to drive efficiency. - Exceptional communication and organizational skills — you bring clarity where there’s complexity and momentum where there’s friction. - A connector who thrives on empowering others to focus on their craft by handling the operational heavy lifting. - Energized by the pace of a scaling startup and motivated by the challenge of building systems that enable sustainable growth. Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution. About the Role - We're looking for a Director/Sr. Manager of Marketing Operations to sit at the intersection of Marketing, Revenue, and Data, serving as the operational backbone behind how our marketing organization plans, executes, and measures growth. - This role reports to the Sr. The Director of RevOps is a critical hire for us. We need someone who can turn marketing strategy into scalable execution, building the operational infrastructure that allows the marketing team to run high-impact programs while maintaining clarity around performance, pipeline contribution, and ROI. - You'll partner closely with demand generation, product marketing, growth, and sales leadership to ensure marketing initiatives are structured, measurable, and aligned with broader go-to-market priorities. - You are comfortable operating across both strategy and execution. One week, you might be designing the planning framework for the next quarter’s marketing initiatives, and the next, you may be digging into funnel performance to understand why pipeline conversion is improving or breaking down. - You have a strong instinct for how modern B2B marketing works. You understand the mechanics of demand generation, lifecycle marketing, and pipeline creation, and you know how to build the operational frameworks that allow those programs to scale. - You also treat AI and automation as operational leverage. They are embedded in how you work - helping automate workflows, accelerate analysis, and reduce manual operational work across the marketing organization. What You'll Do - Partner with marketing leadership to operationalize marketing strategy, helping translate high-level growth goals into executable programs, clear timelines, and measurable outcomes. - Own the operational infrastructure behind marketing programs, including campaign planning processes, performance tracking, and program reporting. Your goal is to ensure marketing teams can execute quickly without losing clarity around impact. - Develop and maintain the measurement frameworks that allow the company to understand marketing performance. This includes: - Tracking campaign performance - Pipeline generation - Funnel conversion - Marketing ROI across channels and programs. - Translate marketing questions into insights. When leaders want to understand why pipeline is increasing or slowing, which programs are driving results, or where leads are dropping out of the funnel, you will help uncover the answers and guide decision-making. - Build and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and operational reporting that provide marketing and revenue leadership with real-time visibility into demand generation performance and pipeline health. - Partner closely with sales, finance, and customer teams to ensure alignment across the entire go-to-market funnel, from lead generation through pipeline and revenue. - Improve how marketing teams operate by identifying opportunities to simplify processes, remove operational friction, and improve campaign execution speed. - Support marketing experimentation and learning by helping teams measure new programs, analyze results, and iterate quickly based on data. - Use AI tools as a core part of your workflow, whether automating reporting, accelerating analysis, or helping marketing teams extract insights from campaign and pipeline data. What We're Looking For - 7-10 years of experience in Marketing Operations, Growth Operations, Demand Generation Operations, or a similar role within a B2B SaaS or high-growth technology company. - Deep understanding of modern B2B marketing and pipeline generation, including demand generation, lifecycle marketing, digital programs, and integrated campaigns. - Strong experience measuring marketing performance and translating marketing activity into pipeline and revenue impact. - Experience building and maintaining operational frameworks that allow marketing organizations to scale execution across programs and channels. - Comfort working with marketing and revenue data. You should be able to analyze campaign performance, interpret funnel metrics, and help teams understand what the data means for future strategy. - Familiarity with modern marketing technology ecosystems, including CRM platforms, marketing automation tools, campaign analytics platforms, and reporting systems. - Genuine AI fluency. You have meaningfully changed how you work because of AI tools - using them to automate workflows, accelerate analysis, or improve operational efficiency. - Strong communication skills. You can write a clear one-pager for a CMO or CRO and also collaborate effectively with technical teams responsible for marketing systems and data. - A business-first mindset. You start with the marketing question and the business outcome - not the tool. The goal is always to help the marketing team make better decisions faster. - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field Not sure if you check all the boxes? Apply anyway! We know that great talent comes in many forms, and we value potential just as much as experience. If you're excited about this role and believe you can grow into it, we’d love to hear from you. We’re looking for people who are eager to learn, adapt, and solve challenges—so if that sounds like you, don’t let a checklist hold you back! Change doesn't happen overnight, and the same goes for us here at CertifID. We evolve collectively and individually as we grow by leaning into the core values that define us. As we grow, we embody GRIT—collectively and individually—to raise the bar and influence outcomes in everything we do. Guard the Customer - Raise the Bar - Influence Outcomes - Teamwork Wins We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
