Builder.io is hiring an Accounting Manager to help build and scale our accounting operations. This role will own key accounting workflows, support the monthly close, and help transition processes currently handled by external consultants into our internal finance team. You’ll work closely with the Sr Accounting Manager and Head of Finance to ensure accurate financial reporting and help build efficient, scalable, next-generation accounting processes. What You’ll Do - Own core accounting workflows, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and revenue-related processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP. - Own and execute key components of the month-end close process, including preparing and maintaining accurate financial records and general ledger activity to support internal reporting and decision-making. - Support financial audits and tax compliance, preparing documentation and schedules as needed. - Partner with cross-functional teams to support growth initiatives and ensure accounting processes scale effectively with the business. - Leverage AI, automation, and modern finance tools to improve accounting workflows and efficiency. You Will Thrive in This Role If… - You have 5-7 years of accounting experience in a startup, SaaS company, public accounting firm, or consulting environment. - You have a strong understanding of GAAP fundamentals. - You are comfortable working with general ledger systems, with experience in QuickBooks Online (QBO) preferred. - You have experience with invoicing, bill pay, collections, and expense management workflows. - You are detail-oriented and comfortable working in a startup environment, and enjoy solving problems amidst ambiguity in a fast-paced setting. - You have demonstrated interest in or experience with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT or Claude) that help improve workflows and reduce manual work. The base salary range for this role is $115,000 - $140,000 USD. This role is also eligible for meaningful company equity and benefits. This position is fully remote and open to candidates in multiple locations. Compensation may vary by country and local market and will be discussed early in the interview process. Final offer amounts are determined based on experience, role-related knowledge, skills, and abilities. Job Requirements

Role Description We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Manager to join our growing accounting team in the U.S and the Americas region. Progressive experience in accounting operations, internal controls, and financial systems is required, as well as the ability to interact with all levels of management and cross-functional teams. - Plan and oversee all accounting tasks in support of operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and general ledger for one of our 3 service lines. - Lead all month-end close and general ledger reconciliation processes pertaining to that specific service line. - Assist in managing accounts receivable and accounts payable processes for various DEPT® US entities within the service line through standardization of process and optimization of internal controls to focus on working capital management and cash flow optimization. - Manage various treasury management workflows, including cash tracking, management, and cash forecasting for various DEPT® US entities within the service line. - Partner with senior management on the preparation of budgets and forecasts and develop accurate and timely reports on actuals vs budgets. - Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. - Review financial statements and trend analysis to ensure proper reporting and understanding of the business. - Partner closely with FP&A and Group Financial Reporting teams around monthly variance analysis and management reporting. - Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the audits. - Assist the DEPT® US accounting team with monthly/quarterly deliverables. - Assist the DEPT® US accounting team with intercompany reconciliations. - Provide mentorship and support to a growing accounting team. - Perform other tasks and analyses as needed or directed.
