Job Description

Technology Readiness Manager

Pearson VUE

Imagine shaping the future of education by ensuring millions of students and educators experience seamless, on-time assessments. As a Technology Readiness Manager, you’ll be at the heart of launching state-level school assessment programs. You will bring together data, communications, and system setup, so every program is a success. This isn’t just a technical role; it’s a chance to drive real-world impact and be a catalyst for positive change. The impact you’ll have - Be the trusted technical partner to customers and internal teams, anticipating needs, shaping solutions, and pulling in product leaders strategically. - Reduce risk and escalations by designing repeatable frameworks, not just resolving tickets. - Improve how Pearson delivers: build unified onboarding playbooks, drive dashboard adoption, and elicit feedback to improve our products and platforms. What you’ll do - Own the path to production: Lead E2E readiness across data integrations, communications, and system configuration to deliver smooth, on-time go-lives. - Be the bridge : Translate the program needs into clear technical work, aligning engineering, product, and Program Delivery to a single plan. - Orchestrate execution: Build and manage readiness plans and schedules; maintain the workflows across teams to keep work visible, prioritized, and moving. - Configure and validate: Set up and verify program configurations via internal tools, ensuring accuracy, security, and auditability. - Guard production quality: Drive production readiness reviews, manage risks, and lead technology escalations to rapid resolution. - Proactive technical engagement : Host technical discovery sessions, map cross-system dependencies, and recommend solution patterns. - Quarterly systemic improvement: Propose and lead at least one cross-program improvement each quarter (e.g., automation, playbook updates, integration templates). - Build the operating system: Create unified onboarding playbooks, standard runbooks, and dashboards that surface readiness status, risks, and outcomes. - Close the loop: Capture structured feedback from customers and delivery; funnel insights to product and platform owners for roadmap consideration. - Be the go-to: Serve as the primary technology contact for internal and customer teams, representing tech with clarity and confidence. How you’ll lead - Act as a Lead for readiness work: own the backlog and fulfillment, and drive continuous improvement. - Champion standard processes and common practices across programs to scale what works. - Work framework-first: move from reactive, checklist-driven activity to proactive, metrics-led execution. What success looks like in your first 6–12 months - Reduced production incidents and last-minute escalations across your programs. - Adopted dashboards that give stakeholders a real-time view of readiness, risks, and decision points. - A unified onboarding playbook in use across your programs, with clear SLAs/SLOs and handoffs. - One or more quarterly systemic improvements delivered and measured (e.g., faster setup cycle time, higher data quality, increased automation). You’ll thrive here if you love connecting dots across teams and systems, turning ambiguity into action. If you’re passionate about creating new solutions, enjoy collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and stay calm when timelines are tight, this is the place for you.  Compensation and benefits As required by California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York State, New York City, Vermont, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the minimum full-time salary range for this position is between $85,000–$95,000. Compensation at Pearson is influenced by factors including skill set, experience level, and location. The position offers annual incentive program, and comprehensive benefits. Applications are open through November 24, 2025, with possible extension based on business needs. If you’re ready to own outcomes, elevate quality, and lead proactive improvements, we invite you to apply and make every launch better than the last. Pearson is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a member of E-Verify. Employment decisions are based on qualifications, merit and business need. Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, ethnicity, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, national origin, protected veteran status, disability status or any other group protected by law.
