Role Description We are immediately hiring a Warehouse Automation Engineer (REMOTE) in Houston, TX for our Supply Chain Solutions division. This position can be responsible for the effort in identifying, evaluating, piloting, and deploying new warehouse automation technologies, followed by the installation and optimization of these technologies. - Work directly with internal operations, solution design, continuous improvement, information technology, product teams, and stakeholders to identify, select, and deploy new technology with automation partners. - Consult with internal and external contacts to demonstrate the value and feasibility of warehouse automation capabilities. - Collaborate across verticals, regions, and functional areas to evaluate, pilot, develop, and implement warehouse automation solutions. Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field of study (Required) - Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field of study (Preferred) - 3 years or more experience in warehouse automation, material handling technologies, industrial engineering or warehouse systems integration (Preferred) - 2 years or more experience in warehouse automation (Preferred) - 2 years or more experience in warehouse automation that may include sortation conveyor, goods-to-person, autonomous vehicles/robots, ASRS’s (Required) - Automation, Management Consulting, Physical & Process Robotic experience (Beginner, Required) - Knowledge of Warehouse Management operations, data analytics, Industrial Engineering, warehouse types (ambient, temp control) and Lean methods (Beginner, Required) - Knowledge of material handling equipment and automation types such as forklift applications, racking designs, packaging devices and automation design (Intermediate, Required) - Warehouse Design Tools (e.g., CAD, slotting, MOST, simulation, WMS, Labor Mgt.) and Data Visualization Software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) (Beginner, Required) - Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent warehouse operational knowledge (Beginner, Required) - Experienced in financial business case analysis to support targeted return on investment (Intermediate, Preferred) Requirements - Lead minor RFP projects and support lead engineer on major RFP projects. - Build ROI and justification based on multiple criteria for optimal solution design. - Support automation project lead on identifying gaps in vendor FSD/SOW. - Provide input on automation solution designs for implementation and operational performance. - Help lead collateral for vendor tech review requests and quotes. - Some project management of smaller projects, including updating of Punch List and Project Plan. - Attend implementation status calls as needed. - Verify and prioritize optimal on-site support for all projects. - Support on-site Solution Acceptance Test (SAT) testing plan. - Profile data from dashboard and systems to support system optimization projects. - Support Solutions Acceptance Testing (SAT) testing plan and tracking of Punch List. - Validate spend with manager and support project leads on tracking project budget. - Partner with vendor to resolve Priority 1-5 tickets related to performance issues. • Provide direct intraoperative and perioperative clinical support during Dexter robotic system launches, including system setup, docking, instrumentation, sterile field management, troubleshooting, and support during initial cases. • Support training of surgeons, nurses, and OR staff to accelerate proficiency and ensure safe and effective use of the Dexter robotic system. • Support competency development and readiness of surgeons and OR teams, ensuring stakeholders achieve the proficiency required for safe and effective Dexter robotic system use. • Maintain expert knowledge of the Dexter robotic system, surgical workflows, and operating room best practices while effectively communicating the clinical benefits of robotic-assisted surgery. • Deliver a premium “white-glove” launch experience that minimizes early friction and promotes strong early adoption and case utilization. • Identify and address customer needs before, during, and after launch implementation to ensure a smooth onboarding experience. • Build strong working relationships with surgeons, OR teams, hospital leadership, and internal stakeholders to support long-term customer success. • Travel nationally to support new robot installations and launch activities across multiple customer sites. • Collaborate closely with the Launch Team Lead, Sales teams, and hospital stakeholders to execute launch plans aligned with company growth objectives. • Participate in structured handoffs by shadowing and supporting knowledge transfer to newly assigned Clinical Sales Specialists (CSS) to ensure smooth account transitions. • Partner with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Clinical Training, and Product to ensure a coordinated and successful robot launch experience. • Maintain accurate documentation of launch activities, case support, and training delivered, and provide reporting and insights on launch outcomes, adoption progress, and areas for improvement. • Capture clinical, workflow, and training insights during launches and communicate feedback to internal teams (training, product, and sales) to continuously improve launch processes and customer experience. • Provide additional support for internal training initiatives, sales enablement activities, and “Flying Dexter” deployments for customer demonstrations or marketing events.

• Reporting into the Director, Robotics and Automation, the Technical Program Manager will increase BJ's supply chain capacity, in a growth environment, by managing the introduction of automation, robotics and systems into the BJ’s warehouse environment. • Driving down overall supply chain cost by increasing efficiency through robotics, automation, and system integration. • Working with the Director, execute the robotics and automation business plan. • Adapting that plan as people, market technology and company objectives evolve across BJ’s warehouses. • Proven industry experience automating warehouse processes, systems and increasing labor capacity through robotics. • Increase labor productivity and space utilization by implementing robotics and automation solutions across the warehouse footprint. • Direct experience implementing robotics and automation for common warehouse operational tasks including pallet sortation, pallet load/unload, automated guided vehicles and custom pallet build for in-store and B2B receipt. • Experience training TM’s on these technologies. • Analyze order picking and packing technologies to develop a more responsive operation that increases accuracy and throughput. • Maximize investments in WMS and TMS and investigate technology bolt-on options to further enable the supply chain to meet growing demand with greater efficiency. • Experience implementing warehouse control and execution systems. • In Omni operations, work with cross functional teams to lower order fulfillment cost. • Optimize in-club picking/packing processes for labor efficiency. • Analyze micro-fulfillment as a method to increase speed, agility, and responsiveness while decreasing cost in the context of dynamically changing eCommerce demand. • Integrate B2B sales systems and in-club processes, including new types of facilities to optimize order flows, in-club staging and labor utilization. • Develop and train others in the operation of all types of automated manufacturing equipment and processes, generate detailed work instructions. • Define, oversee, and commission the implementation of newly developed automation systems. • Manage, schedule, and budget assigned projects. • Improve efficiency for current work and systems. • Lead and work cross-functionally with Learning & Development(L&D) and facility engineers to develop and deliver robotics training for deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance. • Partner with L&D to develop and deploy Team Member training. • Provide technical guidance in making design choices for BJ’s for warehouse deployment. • Drive continuous improvement, adaptation, and growth. • Expert in technical project planning, engineering implementation and delivery – including concept design and architecture reviews. • Develop and connect technical plans to measurable outcomes through understanding of business and innovation goals. • Manage risks related to people, process, and technology.

• Audit existing team workflows and identify what can be automated, systematised, or eliminated • Build automations using Zapier, n8n, or similar workflow tools — connecting our platforms, triggering actions, moving data between systems without manual intervention • Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) extensively — both through the frontend interfaces and via API integrations where needed — to automate content generation, data processing, analysis, and reporting tasks • Build configurable Excel/Sheets models — scoring engines, decision frameworks, dashboards, templates — where every input is a variable and nothing is hardcoded • Take raw data from client systems (ERPs, ad platforms, e-commerce channels) and clean, structure, and transform it into something the team can act on • Design standardised reporting templates and automated pipelines across all clients • Write clear SOPs and documentation so anyone on the team can use, update, and troubleshoot your tools without technical knowledge • Continuously look for new AI tools, automations, and workflow improvements — this space moves fast and we want to stay ahead
