About the role and what you'll be doing: The Senior Project Manager leads and governs complex infrastructure and mainframe modernization projects and serves as a trusted, client‑facing project leader. This role operates in a consulting environment and requires strong executive presence, deep infrastructure expertise, and disciplined project oversight. You partner with C‑level and senior IT leaders, orchestrate cross‑functional teams, and own outcomes across scope, schedule, financials, and client satisfaction. Travel up to 20% is expected. - Lead and govern large‑scale infrastructure and mainframe modernization projects from client onboarding through transition into managed services - Define and own the engagement strategy, governance model, and integrated project plan - Serve as the primary point of contact for executive‑level client stakeholders - Orchestrate and align consulting, technical, and operational teams across multiple workstreams - Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, and RAID logs - Identify, manage, and escalate risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies proactively - Oversee project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost controls - Guide clients through organizational change associated with modernization and managed services transitions - Ensure project execution aligns with Ensono methodologies, quality standards, and best practices - Create and deliver polished, executive‑level communications and presentations - Build trusted client relationships while protecting scope, timelines, and financial outcomes - Coach and mentor team members and foster a collaborative, high‑performance environment We want all new Associates to succeed in their roles at Ensono. Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or equivalent experience - 10+ years of experience leading complex IT programs and projects - PMP certification (required) - Deep infrastructure experience, including large‑scale transformation initiatives - Hands‑on experience leading mainframe modernization projects (required) - Managed services experience, including transitions to steady‑state operations - Consulting experience in client‑facing environments - Strong financial management skills (budgets, forecasting, cost control) - Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C‑level executives - Advanced proficiency in MS Office and MS Project - Ability to travel up to 20% Preferred - ITIL knowledge or certification - ITSM knowledge or certification - Project financial / revenue recognition experience - M.B.A. or B.S. in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering; or equivalent work experience Why Ensono?
