• Support accurate and timely biweekly payroll processing for a 5,000+ employee population • Own larger portions of the payroll cycle including audits, exception management, and payroll validations • Serve as a subject-matter resource for resolving complex payroll issues • Identify risk, recommend improvements, and ensure payroll accuracy and compliance • Validate time and attendance inputs and coordinate corrections • Independently research and resolve payroll discrepancies • Perform deeper reconciliations including earnings and deductions variance analysis • Collaborate with HR, Benefits, and Finance to resolve issues

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of payroll experience in a high-volume, multi-state environment
  • Strong working knowledge of gross-to-net payroll concepts, multi-state compliance considerations, and timekeeping impacts
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, data validation)
  • Hands-on experience with payroll and HRIS systems; ADP Vantage, Workforce, and Workday experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to operate independently with sound judgment
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with experience in resolving complex payroll cases
  • Strong controls and reconciliation accuracy
  • Effective communication across teams and stakeholders

The Manager, Payroll is responsible for the leadership, oversight, and execution of payroll operations supporting a workforce of 1,000+ salaried and hourly employees across multiple states.
