• Collect, analyze, and interpret payroll data to ensure accuracy in processing and reporting, identifying trends and areas for improvement. • Ensure payroll processes adhere to country tax and compliance regulations • Support the payroll team in processing payroll, validating payroll data, and identifying any discrepancies in employee records, benefits, and payments. • Analyze current payroll procedures and recommend process improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. • Conduct regular payroll audits to verify the accuracy of payroll records, deductions, and payments, and ensure reconciliation between payroll and general ledger accounts. • Leverage payroll software and HR systems to improve workflow and reporting capabilities. Provide input on system upgrades and enhancements. • Assist customers and team members with payroll-related queries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. • Work closely with external vendors, Payroll Operations and Finance teams to coordinate payroll activities and ensure the correct processing of taxes, benefits, and deductions. • Keep current with payroll regulations and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and to implement necessary changes within payroll operations.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in payroll analysis or related payroll/finance roles.
- Knowledge of payroll software, accounting experience, advanced Excel/Gsheet skills, experience of data transformation tooling
- Strong understanding of payroll tax laws, and other payroll-related compliance requirements.
- Ability to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in payroll data, reports, and reconciliations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on resolving payroll discrepancies and improving processes.

About the role Angi is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented, and forward-thinking International Payroll Lead to lead payroll operations across five countries - Netherlands, Germany, Austria, United Kingdom and France. This critical role combines both strategic oversight and hands-on execution of end-to-end payroll functions to ensure accuracy, consistency, standardization, and compliance with SOX controls. The Manager, Payroll is responsible for the leadership, oversight, and execution of payroll operations supporting a workforce of 1,000+ salaried and hourly employees across multiple states.
