Position: Environmental Compliance Project Manager Industry: Environmental Compliance / Engineering Location: Remote Compensation: $80,000 - $110,000 depending on qualifications experience Apex’s Rockies Division is expanding and is looking for an Environmental Compliance Project Manager. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-orientated and has the people and technical compliance skills needed to support and manage client projects.  Your Responsibilities as an Environmental Compliance Project Manager: - Prepare environmental permits and reports for projects, facilities, and operations for clients in transportation and warehousing, construction, oil and gas, renewable energy, building management, and municipal markets. - High degree of technical competency in NPDES stormwater (construction, industrial, and MS4), dewatering, and SPCC. - Familiarity with various state specific environmental programs such as oil and gas regulations, industrial stormwater requirements, baseline water quality, and RCRA regulations. - Provide technical oversight and mentor scientific staff to ensure quality work products. Oversee water quality inspections, sampling, and development of Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC), stormwater plans and groundwater environmental compliance reports. - Client interaction and relationship development through onsite and virtual client meetings. Limited overnight travel maybe required but is not expected to exceed 5%. - Strong track record of proposal development and managing project deliverables, schedules and budgets. - Analyze environmental legislation and regulations and determine impact on client activities. - Define and develop your own professional growth with mentoring from senior managers. - Flexible working conditions. What we're looking for: - BS in chemical, environmental or civil engineering, geology, environmental science, or another related field. - 8+ years of professional experience in consulting or industry. - Fundamental understanding of requirements for SPCC inspections and stormwater inspections, monitoring, and sampling. - Proficient at independently researching, reviewing, and guiding compliance with environmental regulations at a Federal, State and Local levels; including SPCC, NPDES & discharge permitting. - Experience with water sampling for groundwater and/or surface water. - Ability to multi-task and problem solve while maintaining high-quality work and effectively managing time.  - Strong communication skills, and collaborative work ethic. - Strong safety awareness, and an understanding of safe work practices. - Excellent writing and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite are required. - Professional engineering license or ability to obtain within six months of hire is a plus. - Valid driver's license and a good driving history are required.  - Experience supporting clients in the Rockies with regulatory compliance is plus. • Document and continuously improve legal and compliance processes, playbooks, and SOPs. • Support Machinify’s compliance programs in planning and executing projects and initiatives, and managing operational frameworks and workflows. • Partner with stakeholders to implement and maintain training programs, ensuring content is accurate, engaging, and up to date. • Develop and maintain trackers, dashboards, metrics, repositories, and “single source of truth” documentation. • Design polished, business-friendly guidance materials (clear hierarchy, scannable layouts, thoughtful use of visual structure). • Research laws, regulations, contractual obligations, and internal requirements; synthesize findings into clear, actionable outputs. • Support compliance initiatives across privacy, Medicare/Medicaid programs, procurement, data use, and Responsible AI, as assigned. • Develop business-ready artifacts (one-pagers, decision trees, FAQs, and checklists) that make complex topics easy to follow. • Support the compliance response to security and privacy incidents, including tracking remediation activities and managing client notifications. • Review and refine client questionnaire responses and attestation drafts. • Perform other duties as assigned.

• Overseeing multiple critical functions across an affordable housing portfolio. • Processing HAP (Housing Assistance Payments), rent adjustments, LIHTC compliance review, and utility/submetering management. • Monitoring revenue performance by analyzing rents, utility impacts, subsidy, and market conditions. • Conducting compliance file audits and on-site checks. • Serving as the portfolio-wide Utility Manager and collaborating with site teams. • Utilizing revenue management software for rent optimization. • Training site teams on HAP processing and compliance processes.

• Communicate regularly with borrowers and insurance agents to obtain evidence of required insurance coverage within established timeframes • Perform compliance reviews of insurance certificates and policies and work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure insurance requirements are met • Maintain accurate, up-to-date insurance data in the servicing systems for all assigned loans • Assist in gathering insurance information needed for lender and internal audits • Work with senior team members on insurance waiver and exception request submissions for non-compliant insurance issues • Take on challenges, acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processes • Perform other administrative duties and tasks, as assigned.
