Job Description

Assumption Processing Specialist-Remote

LoanCare

Overview We are seeking to fill the role of Assumption Loan Processor. The ideal candidate enjoys collaborating with clients, industry partners and internal teams to maximize outcomes for homeowners. Responsibilities - Review loan documents to determine if loan is assumable. - Prepare and distribute approval and denial letters. - Prepare and distribute assumption packages. - Receive assumption packages and log according to department procedures. - Inspect file documents to ensure completeness and contact borrowers/applicants to obtain missing documents. - Obtain relevant documents from applicant(s) and submit request for mortgage insurance approval. - Upload loan documents to vendor website. - Upload and report documents from completed assumptions to government agencies (FHA, VA, USDA, etc.). - Make system changes to reflect new borrower (s) MERs and generate SNOW tickets. - Pull CAIVRS and OFAC reports. - Pull credit reports, and prepare Verifications of Employment and Verifications of Mortgage. - Review Trusts & LLCs to ensure they meet agency guidelines. - Follow procedures to ensure compliance with internal business standards and applicable federal, state, local or other regulatory disclosures and requirements. - Provide support as needed with audits and to department members. - Act as a liaison between various functional areas and customers to reach conclusions with customers. - All other duties as assigned. Qualifications - High School Diploma or equivalent required. - 2+ years mortgage experience. - General knowledge of overall mortgage lending processes, documents and terminology. - Knowledge and understanding of financial products and services. - Knowledge of FHA, VA, Conventional and USDA loans. Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications and utilize tools to find information. Desired Skills and Qualifications - Associate’s degree in business or related field. - Prior work experience in consumer relations/customer service positions requiring excellent verbal and written communication skills is preferred. - Prior experience processing assumptions.
