Overview TNS has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Network Engineer! This role reports in to our Global Network Infrastructure Engineering Department and will be involved in system-wide complex components and/or complex projects. You will provide direction for entire projects or a project team. Responsibilities Primary Duties and Responsibilities: - Key contributor - Your work will be critical to project success - Your influence will be at the customer management level - You may be called upon to solve highly technical, complex problems - You may be called on to consult for other projects - Engineering, deployment, and support of the TNS Global IP backbone network - Delivery of Ethernet based services, as defined by the Metro Ethernet Forum - Routing protocol design and support (BGP, ISIS, EIGRP, OSPF, PIM) - WAN/LAN topology design and support - MPLS design and support - Data Center design and support - Load Balancer design and support - Vendor/hardware assessment and recommendations - Equipment/Design specifications in support of budgetary planning - Identify issues and recommend appropriate action/resolution - Provide guidance to other team members, FRcilities processes & transfer technical skills knowledge Qualifications Qualifications: - 7+ years of design and operations experience in large scale multiprotocol global IP/ISP networks - 5+ years of experience and expert in TCP/IP and routing protocols (RSVP, LDP, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, PIM, BFD, and FRst Reroute technologies) - 3+ years of experience with architecture and provisioning of MPLS networks and services including Traffic Engineering, Carrier Ethernet, MPLS L2 and L3 VPNs, VPLS, Circuit Emulation, IPSec, VPNs, IP Multicast, and QOS/COS - 5+ years of experience in layer-2 Ethernet technologies - 3+ years working knowledge of Data Center design and operation - Expertise in current industry WAN technologies/products (SONET, SDH, TDM, Metro Ethernet, etc.) - 5+ years of extensive hands-on experience with the configuration, debugging, and problem resolution of complex Cisco and/or Juniper based networks - Experienced with command-line interFRces, and skilled in effective use of various network monitoring and analysis tools such as SolarWinds, SPLUNK, and similar tools - For this role, we anticipate paying $120,000K-$150,000K annually. Any compensation range provided for a role is an estimate determined by available market data. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
