The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for administering a wide range of human resources activities within the HR department. This role serves as a comprehensive resource in HRMS, Employee Experience, Policies and Compliance, as well as Compensation and Benefits. As the subject matter expert, the Human Resources Generalist plays a critical role in supporting the HR department and ensuring seamless operation of HR processes. In addition, this role involves collaborating closely with managers and employees to deliver comprehensive technical HR support and guidance. Location: Remote (United States) Key Responsibilities: Employee Experience: - Analyze data and metrics to develop recommendations for positive employee relations and engagement strategies. - Provide guidance and counsel to managers and employees on employee relations issues and workplace practices. - Conduct investigations, document employee complaints and disciplinary processes, and facilitate corrective actions as needed. - Assist in developing and executing employee reward and recognition programs, activities, and events. - Stay updated on employee relations trends, regulations, and legal requirements. - Oversee offboarding procedures to ensure timely and effective exits for departing employees. - Conduct exit interviews, prepare analyses, and provide recommendations to leadership based on identified trends. HRMS & People Analytics: - Architect and administer security protocols and user profiles to ensure appropriate information is shared with the appropriate parties, maintaining checks and balances. - Perform customer service and help desk functions by answering employee requests and questions about system access and available information. - Develop and generate reports for key metrics, trends, analytics and ad hoc that help drive visibility, performance, and insights. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, maintaining data integrity of the HRMS. Policies and Compliance: - Provide guidance and support to employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and practices. - Contribute expertise to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. - Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations by staying updated on changes and advising management on necessary actions. - Maintain human resources policies and procedures, including the employee handbook ensuring compliance with relevant employment regulations and updating documents as required. - Conduct regular internal audits on regulated practices and report findings, making corrections as necessary and maintaining reports for recordkeeping. Compensation and Benefits Administration: - Support in administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits. - Collaborate with benefits providers, insurance carriers, and vendors for accurate and timely administration of benefits. - Process benefits-related documentation, claims, and transactions in compliance with regulations and company policies. - Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries, offering guidance on plan options and coverage. - Conduct benefits orientations, training sessions, and communications to educate employees on available benefits programs. - Manage workers compensation claims from initiation to closure. Assist in maintaining compensation databases, records, and documentation. - Support in the preparation of compensation reports, analyses, and recommendations for management. - Conduct job evaluations, market research, and benchmarking to determine competitive pay ranges. - Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: - BA/BS degree in Human Resources or related field. - Must possess a minimum of three (3) to five (5)+ years in any combination of experience including education that demonstrates a commanding knowledge of Human Resources. - Proficient in various aspects of HR operations, strategies, benefits, compensation, employee relations, and Labor and Employment Laws. - Proficiency in MS Office applications. - Proficiency in HR software and databases.
