Job Description National Center for Safety Initiatives, LLC (NCSI), a SportsEngine company and part of VERSANT, is seeking a full-time Background Screening Specialist. About NCSI For more than 20 years, NCSI has led the youth sports safety movement by advocating for safer communities and advancing safety policy through influence and education. We support youth-centered organizations and safeguard communities by offering in-depth background checks and comprehensive safety services. We are looking for someone to join our team that is detail-oriented, reliable and who shares our passion to protect. Youth & Recreational Sports is comprised of technology platforms, such as SportsEngine, SportsEngine Motion, SportsEngine Tourney, and TeamUnify that enable athletes, parents, coaches and team administrators in the youth and recreational space to manage their organizations, collect payments, share schedules, find programs to participate in and connect with other families. Additionally, NCSI enables leagues and organizations to properly screen and train coaches in an effort to keep kids safe. As a Background Screening Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and thoroughness of background checks for registrants, clients, and courts. Your responsibilities will involve managing sensitive information, conducting detailed research, and maintaining effective communication with all involved parties. You will be expected to complete multiple specialized tasks daily, ensuring that all goals and deadlines are met. Job Duties - Process Background Screenings: Review, process, and complete multiple background screenings daily. - Accuracy Verification: Compare screening data with various forms of identification to ensure accuracy. - Research and Analysis: Investigate and analyze detailed records and documents to resolve discrepancies or incomplete information. - Case Management: Manage ongoing casefiles using various research methods and tools. - Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous and confidential records, ensuring effective documentation and note-taking. - Confidentiality Management: Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost care and discretion. - Goal Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed assigned goals and performance metrics. - Cross-functional Communication: Communicate effectively with courts, and other stakeholders. - Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks and responsibilities as required.
