Job Description

VP – High Voltage

ANS

• Provide strong leadership, overseeing team management, staffing, planning, training, and resource development to ensure the successful execution of projects. • Drive the delivery of transmission line projects ensuring they meet quality standards and client specific requirements. • Establish and communicate short- and long-term goals, with clear KPIs to guide performance and project success. • Work closely with internal stakeholders, across multiple departments (and geographies) to ensure project execution to support company goals and business objectives. • Drive excellence in the overall execution and client experience at ANS. • Stay open to new ideas, technologies, and ways of working to continuously seek improvements to drive progress and efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of technical applications and software required to review plan and profiles, sections, details, and sag and tension charts for construction drawing sets.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles, industry standards, and codes with a passion for transmission line engineering design.
  • Ability to develop, follow, interpret and apply internal, client, and industry procedures and standards to complex design situations and provide guidance to staff in implementation.
  • Ability to develop, review and evaluate design alternatives based on experience, standards, and codes to solve constructability and design challenges and provide direction to staff.
  • Ability to drive business success in coordination with Business Development, Project Management, and Sr Leadership with a deep understanding of proposals, financials, and relationship implications to company success.
  • Ability to lead client interactions either from an office or field environment to answer technical and business questions, drive solutions, and mitigate negative impacts in stressful situations.
  • Excellent communication skills, high emotional intelligence, and an innate ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders (technical and non-technical alike).
  • Experience with and understanding of modeling software for poles and structures, sag and tension, transmission line routing and load modeling, grounding, lightning, and basic electrical calculations or modeling preferred. Intermediate PLS-CADD/POLE/TOWER, PSSE, CAD and PDF editor knowledge strongly preferred.
