Construction – Facilities Manager
Heart + Paw
• Manage construction of new veterinary hospitals and renovation projects from concept through completion. • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to determine project specifications. • Oversee bidding, vendor negotiations, and contract management. • Manage project schedules, milestones, and budgets to ensure successful delivery. • Review and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and structural drawings. • Hire and manage contractors, vendors, and consultants. • Supervise general contractors and construction teams, providing guidance and oversight as needed. • Oversee the permitting process and ensure projects meet regulatory requirements. • Investigate and resolve project issues such as delays, safety concerns, or damage. • Manage budgets for small to medium-sized construction projects. • Monitor project costs, change orders, and financial performance. • Identify and mitigate risk throughout the construction lifecycle. • Oversee facilities repairs and maintenance across existing veterinary centers. • Manage facilities specialist responsible for maintenance and repair requests. • Evaluate facility issues and provide recommendations for repairs and improvements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a construction related field such as Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Building Science.
- Proven experience managing construction projects from planning through completion.
- Expertise in Procore construction management software.
- Experience managing project budgets and vendor contracts.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
- Willingness to travel frequently to job sites (travel up to 80%).
- Candidates must live within 1 hour of a major international airport.

• Provide primary business, technical and product/service advice to customers, include providing effective solutions to customer’s project inquiries and generating price quotes for project design • Analyze customers’ needs, resolve customers' troubleshooting and/or complaints with a technical issue and advise them of additional services and product solutions when necessary • Identify potential areas of concern for customers. Make recommendations based on recognizing customers’ current and future needs during continued business relationship • Maintain close communication with customers as well as facilitate communication with technical support when necessary • Collaborate with internal teams/departments to achieve sustainable growth • Organize and provide training for internal sales and external distributors by delivering presentations or/and demos
