Schematic Design – Visualization Specialist
Solen Software Group
• Create and update schematic and geographic drawings for mission-critical utility systems • Ensure visual outputs are clean, accurate, and aligned with customer requirements • Translate technical requirements into clear, effective visualizations • Write, review, and edit technical documentation and supporting graphics • Provide design feedback to product and engineering teams to improve visualization usability, consistency, and operator experience • Contribute input on layout, visual hierarchy, and interaction patterns to support effective decision-making in operational environments • Track labor activity and support internal reporting • Communicate directly with customers in a professional, clear manner
Job Requirements
- Adobe Illustrator: Advanced experience creating technical illustrations and scalable vector graphics
- CAD Tools: Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation (Bentley), or similar drafting software
- GIS Fundamentals: Understanding of geographic data and visual representation
- Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Excel and Word for documentation and tracking
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Associate’s degree or higher in design, drafting, GIS, or a related field preferred
- Formal coursework or training in visual design principles and spatial layout preferred
- Experience collaborating with product, engineering, or UX teams to provide design or usability feedback preferred
