Innovate. Create. Elevate. At Ontrac Solutions, we partner with elite engineering organizations to build systems that operate at planetary scale. Our client, a leading cloud and infrastructure-focused organization, is seeking Staff / Senior Network Engineers to help support and evolve complex hybrid and cloud networking environments. We are looking for individuals who do not just work in networking — but understand how connectivity, security, and infrastructure design come together to support performance at scale. These are not routine support roles. These are not basic network administration positions. These are infrastructure roles that enable resilient, secure, high-performance systems across enterprise environments. About the Role Ontrac Solutions is seeking Staff / Senior Network Engineers to support a high-impact client engagement focused on complex cloud and hybrid networking environments. These roles are ideal for hands-on network engineering professionals with deep experience in Google Cloud networking, enterprise infrastructure, and secure, scalable network design. The right individuals will partner closely with cloud platform engineering teams and customer stakeholders to help design, implement, troubleshoot, and optimize resilient networking solutions from project definition through delivery. What You’ll Do - Design and support hybrid network architectures connecting on-premise environments with Google Cloud - Troubleshoot complex networking issues across routing, DNS, and load balancing layers - Build, manage, and maintain infrastructure using Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools - Design secure network architectures, including segmentation and firewall policies - Improve network reliability through automation and operational best practices - Collaborate with internal engineering teams and customer stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and delivery Required Qualifications - Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP routing, DNS, and load balancing - Extensive experience with Google Cloud networking, including: - VPC - VPN - Interconnect - Load balancing - Firewall policies - Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform - Strong troubleshooting skills across multi-layer network environments - Solid understanding of network security principles - Relevant Google Cloud certifications - Relevant networking certifications Nice to Have - Experience automating network tasks using Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages - Strong systems thinking across both cloud and on-prem environments - Experience improving network reliability and observability - Proven background in hybrid cloud networking architectures What We’re Looking For We’re looking for engineers who are both strategic and hands-on — strong communicators who can navigate technical complexity, solve problems quickly, and work effectively across internal and client-facing teams. The ideal candidates will be comfortable owning key networking responsibilities in fast-moving cloud environments and helping shape infrastructure that supports reliability, security, and scale. Remote with some travel to client location.
