• Personally represent and manage caseload of Social Security Insurance (SSDI) claims, including initial filings, appeals, and hearings • Personally manage a caseload of ERISA Disability Insurance cases, including pre-suit claims, appeals, and federal court filings. • Maintain excellent relationships with clients, including delivering empathetic legal services that are personalized to each client's situation • Respond to written and telephone inquiries from clients • Evaluate medical records, work history, and vocational evidence to understand necessary proof to be developed and present strong argument. • Maintain effective communication and personal relationships with clients through mail, telephone, and email • Supervise and train legal support team, as needed • Maintain proficiency and currency in applicable law to ensure the highest quality representation • Collaborate with medical professionals and expert witnesses to strengthen case arguments
Job Requirements
- Law Degree and Bar Admission in at least one State
- Sufficient experience in Social Security Disability practice to have handled at least 100 hearings
- Strong legal writing skills for drafting appeals, briefs, and other case-related documents.
- Empathy for those with disabilities and a commitment to fighting for their benefits
