Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer

• Lead technical discovery for strategic opportunities. Map business goals to measurable technical success criteria and an evaluation plan. • Design, scope, and execute POCs that prove value. Define datasets, metrics, and timelines that land a clear technical win. • Build lightweight prototypes, sample integrations, and demos using Deepgram SDKs and APIs. Show, do not tell. • Advise on architecture for accuracy, latency, scalability, and cost. Cover cloud, self-hosted, hybrid, and data residency needs. • Run security and compliance threads common in EMEA. Prepare crisp responses for GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and vendor risk reviews. • Triage and debug issues during evaluations. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Support to unblock customers quickly. • Create reusable assets that scale. Turn repeated requests into working samples, reference architectures, runbooks, and field guides. • Partner with Solutions Architects and Support for seamless continuity after initial wins. Stay involved through expansion phases when needed. • Enable the field. Collaborate with AEs, CSMs, and partners on positioning, demos, and technical validation for priority use cases.

Job Requirements

  • 5 or more years in Solutions Engineering or a similar customer-facing technical role focused on pre-sales.
  • Professional software engineering experience in at least one language such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Rust. You can build POCs and tools that real users run.
  • Hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms. Comfortable with Docker, Kubernetes, networking fundamentals, and secure API design.
  • Proven track record leading POCs for enterprise customers and earning the technical win.
  • Clear written and verbal communication across both technical and executive audiences.
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Additional European languages are a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with procurement, InfoSec, and data privacy expectations across EMEA, including GDPR and data residency.

A Normal Day in this Role... Solution Design & Implementation: - Build complex automations, data models, and new processes within the HubSpot platform while managing custom developments and integrations for external clients. - Develop scalable, tailored solutions that address client business needs, leveraging HubSpot's advanced features and third-party integrations. - Provide actionable advice for clients while bringing strategic value regardless of relationship or technical familiarity with the existing ecosystem. - Identify areas of continuous improvement via optimizations and iterations to existing client portals. - Confidently and accurately build strategies to solve complex problems using HubSpot-centered solutions. - Strategically identify additional areas for HubSpot solutions that align with client goals and objectives. - Create diagrams and process maps using tools like Lucidchart to illustrate solutions clearly. Client Engagement: - Proactively identify and communicate engagement needs and prioritize scope; recommend solutions that align with client goals and objectives. - Act a primary point of contact for clients, contributing to discovery and prioritization sessions while clearly defining solution requirements. - Drive sprint cadence, plan work accordingly, and conduct weekly sprint meetings with clients. - Present technical concepts as actionable business use cases, ensuring clarity and alignment with client goals. - Manage and lead user acceptance testing (UAT) with clients, ensuring deliverables meet quality expectations. - Train clients on deliverables and platform processes; lead train the trainer and direct training sessions. Collaboration & Delegation: - Work closely with delivery leads and other team consultants to execute tasks, provide guidance, and ensure seamless execution of customized solutions. - Write detailed task specifications and delegate to other team members as needed. - Conduct quality assurance (QA) on deliverables and provide coaching to team members where needed. - Conduct backlog grooming and task prioritization for new and recurring Managed Services clients. Technical Expertise: - Manage existing HubSpot features, including API integrations and webhooks while maintaining data integrity and governance. - Execute small-batch data migrations, property setups, and third-party app integrations to ensure seamless transitions for clients. - Stay updated on HubSpot beta features and other technological advancements to deliver cutting-edge solutions. Experience & Skills - 6+ years of professional experience in at least one functional area, ideally Marketing, Sales, or Customer Service. - 3+ years experience in consulting or professional services environments managing multiple external clients or accounts simultaneously. - HubSpot Advanced User: Advanced technical grasp of 2+ HubSpot Hubs (Marketing, Sales, Service, Ops, Content/CMS). - Understanding of systems, architecture, and how to solve complex problems using data, technology, and process; should be familiar with APIs / webhooks. - Ability to navigate budget constraints and lead clients toward the right solutions within a defined monthly budget. - Strong problem-solving skills with a client-centric mindset; ability to listen to clients and translate their pain points into real solutions. - Skilled at navigating and prioritizing ambiguous client requests while quickly building rapport; must be comfortable working without a defined client scope. - Comfortable building and managing client relationships while identifying areas for continuous improvement. The compensation range for this role is $85k–$105k, depending on experience and technical level.
