Real Estate Paralegal and Title Agent Position Details: This is a full-time, remote position. Responsibilities and Duties - Work with Operations Manager and President to ensure that department policies and procedures align with company goals. - Assist Operations Manager/Attorney for South market in all product lines including land acquisitions and outsales. - Build & maintain relationships and interact in a professional manner with realtors, lenders, attorneys, underwriters, paralegals, & all other clients. - Draft Title commitments and issue final title policies. - Review land acquisition contracts and related documents and help assist with tasks to open files. - Work with parties to ensure all items are completed properly. - When necessary, assist with invoices and preparation of ALTA Settlement Statements/HUD1/Closing Disclosure(s) for closings. - Organize data and upload paperwork as necessary. - Performing title and survey review on files. - Prepare necessary internal settlement documents for transactions. - Help assist in responding to customer inquiries requesting status, rate quotes, title defects, clearing exceptions or general information. - Ensure all closing instructions and binder requirements are followed as per the closing package, and coordinate with loan officer, mortgage loan processor, and underwriter to be sure all underwriting commitments have been satisfied. - Summarizing and tracking key contract information, including critical dates - Drafting and reviewing other legal documents, contracts, and correspondence - Researching, organizing, and analyzing legal or factual information as needed - Ensure policies and remittances to underwriters are done in a timely manner to comply with regulations. - Work closely with other departments in the company to maintain customer satisfaction and adhere to regulatory compliance. - Stay up to date with changes in regulations, trends, and ALTA best practices. - Comply with all title binder requirements. - Act as a dependable liaison between all parties to ensure the client has a seamless transaction. - Prepare and present ad hoc reports on process flow activities to senior management. - Assist with underwriter audits and ALTA Best Practice Audits as needed. - Resolve any discrepancies that may arise expeditiously. - Ability to help grow the company into new territories and markets as needed. - Help assist in other areas of the Company as may be required. Requires demonstrated skill in data entry. Daily use of Qualia & Streamline. - Must be proficient with Outlook, must be able to create Excel spreadsheets.
