The Communications Specialist is responsible for maintaining and contributing content to a variety of platforms, designing images and appropriate banners, and assisting the Director of Communications in day-to-day projects. Candidates must live in Atlanta, GA or surrounding areas. Responsibilities: - Write creative content for OneDigital intranet, monthly and quarterly newsletters, and other outlets; - Manage OneDigital intranet home page as well as other relevant areas; - Create graphics for appropriate content. This can range from simple icons and banners to detailed infographics; - Aid with video filming and production, based on level of expertise; - Gather metrics for all communication outlets to measure viewership and engagement; - Assist Director of Communications with day-to-day projects; - Build relationships with different departments and offices to address their needs and advise action; - Gain a full understanding of OneDigital to develop appropriate content that can further the knowledge of our employees. Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements: - Strong creative writing skills; - Must be organized, self-motivated and disciplined; - Excellent verbal communication skills; - Flexibility as project priorities change. Education, Training and Experience: - At least 3 years experience in a communications, journalism, marketing or other related field; - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; - Basic to experienced knowledge of Photoshop and/or InDesign; - Video Software experience, preferred but not required. - Bachelor’s Degree, preferred. The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $55,000 to $60,000 per year. Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance. • Responsible for managing and executing the Foundation’s communications strategy • Writing and maintaining the communications calendar • Developing email appeals, social media content, donor stewardship messages, blogs and articles for publications such as The Lyre magazine • Serving as a strong storyteller and collaborator • Contributing to fundraising and cultivation strategies for key giving initiatives • Supporting housing fundraising services • Producing housing-related newsletters and Enterprise communications • Elevating the Foundation’s voice and advancing annual and strategic fundraising goals
