As a Field Service Engineer, you will help to strengthen our world-class service and support efforts to meet the demands of our customers. Every day, you will work to support our advanced Stretch Robotics in the field at customer worksites to deliver end-to-end customer-driven solutions. Day to day activities: · Perform emergency repairs, installations, site integrations, routine maintenance, and general technical service and support for our internal and external customers · Collaborate across Sales, Engineering, and Service Operations to drive technical solutions and resolve customer issues quickly and efficiently · Ensure world-class support outcomes - Customer Satisfaction (CSAT), issue resolution time, and first-time-fix metrics · Document and complete service administration activities promptly in our CRM Desired skills: · Prior experience in a role delivering high quality, highly reliable, and highly responsive field service · Support experience with highly specialized and complex platform technology · Strong mechanical aptitude · Excellent PC skills (Windows and Linux) · Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics · Customer management and communication skills with demonstrated experience in a customer support environment · Track record of achieving successful support outcomes tracking metrics such as issue resolution time, response time, and customer satisfaction · Prior experience performing repairs/maintenance on mechanical equipment. · Experience using power tools and specialized equipment. Key Responsibilities Civil & OSP Design Review - Conduct detailed reviews of Civil OSP design packages, including trenching, duct banks, microduct configurations, manholes/handholes, routing, and utility coordination. - Validate design compliance with: - Client‑specific design documentation, standards, and templates (primary focus). - Local jurisdictional requirements (e.g., municipal ROW, DOT standards). - National engineering standards, including NEC, NESC, UFC, RUS, BICSI, or project‑specific federal/military criteria. - Provide QC oversight to identify inconsistencies, missing elements, conflicts, or non‑compliance prior to submittal. - Offer clear review comments and actionable guidance to designers, CAD teams, and subcontractors. Project Management Support - Assist PMs in managing design review cycles, comment logs, deadlines, and submittal tracking. - Support internal and external coordination meetings, especially in high‑workload weeks. - Help integrate client review comments (municipalities, permitting agencies, etc.) into the design workflow. Technical & Cross‑Discipline Coordination - Work collaboratively with OSP engineers, civil designers, GIS teams, and construction stakeholders. - Ensure design intent aligns with field conditions, client expectations, and overall program strategy. - Participate in routing analysis and constructability validation for new or revised alignments. Role Description ENERGY SYSTEMS GROUP is hiring a Lighting Superintendent to join our Lighting Team. The position will be virtual but needs to be located in Texas, the northeast, or California and must be near a major airport. Frequent travel of 50% to 75%, including overnight stays and weekend travel dependent on project(s) location is required. The Lighting Superintendent coordinates all aspects of project execution of the Lighting scope of work, ensuring a smooth transition from the design phase to the installation and ongoing service and support phase of the completed project. This includes, but is not limited to: - Advising and assisting the Lighting Project Manager in conferring with engineering personnel on technical information. - Procuring and managing outside contractors. - Training customers’ maintenance personnel. - Acting as primary point of contact for all internal personnel, external contractors, subcontractors, and customer agents to coordinate all aspects of project installation. - Ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and that customers are satisfied with both the installation process and the end result. The Lighting Superintendent must be able to communicate effectively with both ESG Project Manager and the customer. The Lighting Superintendent must have a working knowledge of lighting systems, the scope of work, and be able to troubleshoot lighting issues and report to the Lighting Engineer. The Lighting Superintendent will be the point person on site during installation and will be responsible for all the day-to-day operations in the field. The essential functions of the position include: - Monitors labor, materials, project modifications, and work completion and makes changes as necessary to ensure achievement of project objectives within cost and time constraints. - Oversees all aspects of installation, working with all parties involved to proactively prevent and solve quality issues and other problems that may arise in the course of the project. - Creates and maintains an efficient, effective project workforce, providing training and supervision for each member assigned to the project and coordinating team member activities to meet project objectives. - Responsible for ensuring adherence to all OSHA, Federal, State, and safety regulations as well as all company policies and procedures. - Keeps abreast of all changes in federal, state, and local safety regulations and company policies as they pertain to the project installation and implements system changes as required.
