Role Description The Salesforce CRM Administrator has primary responsibility for Salesforce support requests across Internet2 and is responsible for the strategic management, configuration, and optimization of the organization's Salesforce CRM platform. This role will continuously assess the Salesforce CRM configuration, identify gaps in functionality, and implement improvements to better support enterprise-wide business needs. The position requires strong collaboration with stakeholders across all divisions to ensure Salesforce CRM effectively supports member relationship management, service delivery tracking, and organizational reporting requirements. The Salesforce CRM Administrator sits within the Community Engagement division but serves as an enterprise-wide resource, working closely with stakeholders across all Internet2 divisions who utilize Salesforce CRM. The role collaborates closely with the Data Steward on data quality and governance matters, and partners with IT and other technical teams on system integrations and infrastructure. Responsibilities - Ongoing assessment of Salesforce CRM configuration and identifying improvement opportunities - Configuring and customizing Salesforce CRM to meet evolving business needs - Serving as primary point of contact for Salesforce CRM support requests - Training and supporting users across the organization - Collaborating on system integrations from a Salesforce CRM perspective - Maintaining documentation of configurations, processes, and best practices Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field, (or equivalent combination of education and experience) - 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce CRM administration experience - Technical proficiency with Salesforce CRM administration and configuration, including building custom objects and fields, creating reports and dashboards, managing page layouts, and implementing data quality controls - Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions through effective problem-solving - Knowledge of reporting and analytics best practices, data governance principles, and system integration concepts - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and work effectively across teams with diverse needs and perspectives - Ability to travel 2-3 weeks annually and have the ability to support all time zones of the continental United States.
