Job Description

Manager, Legal Tech Enablement

Goodwin

• Develop and maintain expertise in the firm’s core practice applications and generative AI legal technologies. • Support the Director of K&I Technology Solutions in executing the firm’s legal technology strategy to advance legal practice efficiency and client service delivery. • Design, implement and deliver targeted and engaging training programs, workshops, webinars, in-person events, and “office hours” for attorneys and staff on practice applications and generative AI toolsets. • Create and maintain Goodwin-specific user guides, quick-reference cards, video tutorials, intranet pages, and knowledge-base articles to support self-service adoption. • Partner with practice groups, and K&I Team to understand attorney workflows and practice needs, tailor trainings, design campaigns, and engage champions to maximize technology adoption. • Gather, synthesize, and analyze user feedback and usage data to identify adoption blockers, feature requests, and training gaps; collaborate with K&I leadership to prioritize improvements and roadmap items. • Measure and report on adoption metrics, training effectiveness, user satisfaction, and service-level performance; iterate on programs based on results. • Participate in assessments, pilots and proof of concept programs of new technology, including assisting in gathering requirements, organizing pilot testers, participating in testing, and assessing the instructional materials and vendor support of new products. • Support onboarding of new practice applications and vendor rollouts (communications, training, awareness campaigns). • Partner with vendors for training/content coordination and product knowledge transfer. • Stay current on legal technology and industry trends to keep the firm at the forefront of responsible technology use.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree
  • 3-7 years of experience in technology enablement, training, user engagement, or a related role
  • Experience in a law firm, legal operations, or professional services environment strongly preferred
  • Experience in administering various legal technology solutions preferred; experience with Legora, Copilot, Chat GPT, Draftwise, Kira, Litera Transact, Jigsaw, or similar applications preferred
  • Skills and experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Excel, Teams, Box, iManage, Tableau (or QlikView, Microsoft Power BI) and Microsoft Office
  • Experience or strong familiarity with generative AI tools, their application in legal workflows, and related ethical/usage considerations preferred
  • Proven success designing and delivering technical training for attorneys and staff
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new applications
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and written-communication skills; comfortable delivering training to attorneys and senior staff
  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer orientation, and ability to influence across teams and practice groups and communicate effectively with all levels of the firm in a professional manner
  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently
  • Ability to effectively manage work to high quality standards, with a meticulous eye for detail
  • Accountable, assumes responsibility for quality and timeliness of his/her work
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and execute tasks, multitask and meet deadlines
  • Within scope of position, works independently using sound judgment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with members of the Knowledge & Innovation Team, technical staff, and users at the firm.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
