Data Engineer III
Coastal
• Implementation of low-latency, high volume, resilient data solutions. • Design scalable distributed systems. Make architectural trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns. • Orchestrate large cross-functional projects. • Advancement of data governance and data democratization. • Utilization of Azure environment components like Functions and Synapse. • Lead and mentor junior team members. • Contribute to strategic planning. • Help document system designs. • Drive the continuous improvement of data processes and systems.
Job Requirements
- Strong written and oral communication skills and a proven ability to work well with a team.
- Strong technical and project management experience.
- Proven experience leading software development projects and delivering quality, maintainable solutions.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Leadership and mentorship experience.
- BS/MS degree or equivalent preferably in a relevant technical discipline such as EE/CS/ET.
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Apache Spark.
- Managing Big Data distributed system, e.g., Hadoop, Spark.
- Managing Big Data platform in a highly regulated industry.
