About the role We are seeking a full-time Principal Data Engineer who can work collaboratively with a diverse team of experts to solve complex business challenges using innovative thinking and modern technology. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will: - Design and develop cutting-edge enterprise data solutions in a fast-paced environment - Lead discussions with clients and recommend technical solutions for business cases - Design and code modern solutions to tough data challenges leveraging the cloud - Lead and collaborate with sharp, passionate teammates, provide feedback on others’ work, and encourage innovation and best practices internally and externally - Prioritize, self-direct and execute at velocity - Aggressively grow your skillset and expertise to meet emerging needs What we’re looking for - Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders/clients, including active listening, critical thinking, presentation skills, coaching, empathy, dependability, and creativity. - Experience working with individuals in various industries and corporate levels including C-Levels, Engineers, Business Intelligence Analysis, Business Unit Leaders, Field workers. - Extensive Experience in cloud technologies, data and data analytics development including: - 6+ years of Cloud/Data Analytics including Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Data Services including OneLake, Azure Data Warehouse, SQL DB, SQL VMs, Purview, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, - Hands on experience on Databricks including Unity Catalog, Delta Lake - 6+ years of Visualization tools including extensive Power BI experience (having PBI to Fabric migration knowledge), Tableau, Qlik, and SSRS a plus. - Machine Learning including predictive/prescriptive analytics with R, Python - Development and Scripting including CI/CD methodology, using PowerShell, Azure DevOps services, Terraform, GitHub Actions. • Own data pipeline work end-to-end — from building and maintaining production pipelines to integrating new data sources and contributing to backend services that power the platform. • Develop new pipeline components as we revamp and upgrade our data flows. • Maintain and improve existing data pipelines — including sunset work on legacy services. • Collaborate with data scientists on handoffs from experimentation to production. • Keep the infrastructure running: monitoring, alerting, reliability. • Contribute to backend services where data and platform logic intersects with the product.

• Create and maintain standardized data visualizations to support Medical Data Review and safety signal detection • Apply defined visualization standards to generate outputs aligned with Risk-Based Quality Management (RBQM) principles and Critical to Quality (CtQ) endpoints • Work under guidance to implement visual analytics within timelines tied to First Patient In (FPI) or predefined safety milestones • Support documentation and quality control of visualization deliverables to ensure traceability and compliance • Participate in training sessions and incorporate feedback from more experienced Real-time Visual Analytics Specialists • Assist in responding to basic stakeholder requests and clarifying data availability or visualization functionality • Work under general supervision and apply independent judgment to interpret guidance, prioritize responsibilities, and make decisions in situations that require contextual understanding • Apply judgment to address moderately complex statistical or data issues, balancing scientific rigor with appropriate flexibility, and seek guidance when facing novel or ambiguous situations • Adhere to functional standards by participating in peer review and mentoring relationships to uphold quality and build methodological and regulatory expertise
