Consultation may be via phone, email, video conference or in person. - Using knowledge of HR best practices, designs and supports: policies, practices and programs that enhance team member engagement, reduce turnover and create a great place to work for all team members. - Researches, investigates, and develops solutions to moderately complex team member relations issues in partnership with the VP of HR, VPs of Operations and community Executive Directors. - Strengthen leadership capabilities of Executive Directors and Department Directors on HR/Payroll policies and procedures and legal compliance including, but not limited to FLSA, ADA, COBRA, ERISA, EPA, FMLA, HIPAA, OSHA, Title VII, PDA, CFRA, etc. Assist in periodic community audits ensuring compliance and educate on areas of deficiency. - Responsible for responding to and tracking of all Leave of Absences (FMLA, CFRA, CA PDL, Discretionary LOAs, etc.). - Align HR practices with business direction to foster growth and support a culture that sets Clearwater Living apart from other providers where team members feel engaged and valued for their contributions. - May also perform other Human Resource Generalist duties such as Recruiting, Payroll, HRIS, Compensation, Benefits, Workers’ Compensation, Safety, and Compliance. Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred. If not, SPHR or SHRM-CP Certification or other HR certification required. - Expert-level knowledge of federal and state labor laws is essential in this position. - Ten years or more years of human resources experience; specifically in employee relations either a main focus or predominant focus required. - Experience with a heavily part-time, non-exempt population of 1000+ team members multi-site/multi-state organization is a must. - Must have progressive and seasoned experience researching and investigating team member relations issues, such as sexual harassment claims, wrongful termination, disciplinary actions, long and short-term disability claims, etc. Strong knowledge of Federal and applicable state specific labor law (specifically CA labor/Wage and Hour Laws); experience researching labor law nuances and practical experience applying same. Must be a role model for integrity and honesty and be able to advocate for team members and the company while keeping business goals in mind. - Experience in Senior Living a plus

Position Summary:The Temporary Benefits Professional is an integral part of the Benefits Services team and is responsible for consultation with employees on their health and retirement benefit plans. This position assists employees who call or email the Benefits department and utilizes computer-based resources to review and retrieve information.
