Job Description The Department of Medicine has an outstanding opportunity for a part-time Temporary Program Operations Specialist to join their team. The Program Operations Specialist provides operational leadership and programmatic support for the Cambia Palliative Care Center of Excellence (CPCCE) at the University of Washington. The CPCCE ‘s mission is to ensure that patients with serious illness have access is to provide every patient with serious illness access to high-quality palliative care that focuses on relieving symptoms, maximizing quality of life, and ensuring care aligned with patients’ values and goals. The CPCCE achieves these goals through research, educational programs, advocacy, and the advancement of innovations in clinical care. Working closely with the CPCCE Director and leadership team, the Program Operations Specialist develops, implements, and completes Center initiatives that span research dissemination, educational programming, and clinical innovation. The role also oversees core operational, financial, and communication functions that support internal stakeholders and external partners. The CPCCE operates within a complex organizational environment, with reporting relationships that span the academic Department of Medicine and the clinical enterprise of UW Medicine. Center initiatives involve collaboration with stakeholders across UW Medicine, Fred Hutch Cancer Center, and Seattle Children’s Hospital. Success in this role requires the ability to build and sustain relationships across diverse institutional cultures, including academic departments, clinical divisions, and community partners. Meets with Program Manager and/or Clinical Supervisor to review potential matches and assist in case assignments. - Assists Coordinators in locating appropriate homes when disruptions occur. - Maintains ongoing relationships with funding agencies and develops new resources through marketing presentations. Ensures sufficient amount of referrals by marketing services with funding sources. - Performs other related duties and activities as required.
