Role Description Building the next generation of modular data centers and supporting power systems requires navigating an intricate web of factory-built product certifications and site-specific field deployment codes. We are seeking a highly collaborative, action-oriented Senior Certification & Compliance Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will not simply audit finished designs. Instead, you will embed directly with our product development teams from day one, acting as a technical co-creator of our architectures. You will help bridge the gap between "factory listings" and "field compliance," ensuring that our prefabricated, containerized E-houses, power skids, and modular systems are natively engineered to satisfy global regulatory frameworks, accelerate deployment schedules, and help secure seamless permitting. Key Responsibilities - Active Design Integration (Compliance-by-Design) - Embed with electrical, mechanical, and controls design engineers to proactively guide physical layouts, spacing, component selection, and structural boundaries. - Vet third-party components (switchgear, inverters, batteries, breakers) to ensure they carry appropriate listings and ratings for our target operating limits. - Ensure all packaging designs strictly respect workspace clearances, egress pathways, and safety boundaries mandated by the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA, OSHA, etc. - Certification Strategy & Agency Management - Define, coordinate, and execute the global product certification strategy for our complete product portfolio. - Act as the primary technical point of contact with Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTLs) such as UL, Intertek (ETL), and CSA. - Structure and oversee physical testing programs, including dielectric, short-circuit, thermal runaways, and environmental ingress testing. - Standards, Codes & Regulatory Stewardship - Serve as the subject matter expert on the National Electrical Code (NEC/NFPA 70), NFPA 70E, NFPA 855, NFPA 75 (Fire Protection for IT Equipment), and UL standards (specifically UL 891, UL 1558, UL 508A, UL 9540, UL 1973, and UL 62368-1). - Navigate state-level industrialized (modular) building programs, managing third-party inspection agency coordination for prefabricated structures. - Technical Documentation & Compliance Records - Author and compile comprehensive technical files, listing documentation, safety labels, and installation/operating manuals. - Maintain rigorous compliance traceability matrices showing how design elements satisfy specific clauses of target standards. - Work alongside manufacturing teams to establish routine factory compliance tests on our assembly floors. Technical Expertise - Strong working knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70), IBC (structural and seismic constraints), OSHA regulations, and UL product listings (UL 891, UL 1558, UL 508A, UL 9540/9540A). - Experience with safety design techniques such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Hazard Identification (HAZID) studies. Physical Demands - Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment or manufacturing floor. - Likely there will be a significant amount of travel between customer and Celestica locations. - Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. - Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required. - Above demands are carried out within the local existing Health and Safety guidelines. Salary - Base Salary: $102K-$135K - The stated range includes Base Salary. A comprehensive benefits package is offered in addition to this range. - The range described in this posting is an estimate by the Company, and may change based on several factors, including but not limited to a change in the duties covered by the job posting, or the credentials, experience or geographic jurisdiction of the successful candidate. Typical Experience - 6+ Years of direct experience in regulatory compliance, standards engineering, or design-focused product safety roles. - Proven Track Record certifying industrial power equipment, modular enclosures, grid-tied battery systems, or complex data center utility skids. - Demonstrated experience successfully guiding a product through an initial NRTL listing campaign (e.g., UL or Intertek) from architecture kick-off to certificate issuance. Typical Education - Required: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. - Preferred: Active participation in professional standards technical committees (e.g., IEEE, UL, NFPA). Role Description We are seeking an experienced network automation script specialist to drive innovative test transformation. Your mission is to create an automation script framework that enables the development of new automation scripts that can seamlessly integrate into existing software development pipelines to intelligently verify PR code changes. This person will analyze existing network automation scripts and develop a list of automation script enhancements to optimize the verification phase of the product SDLC process. This includes using AI to design, develop, and enhance new and existing automation scripts. Experience with integrating agentic AI workflows into automation scripts to provide test failure problem determination and suggest possible remediations is a must. You will be part of a team that collaborates with the larger DevTestOps Team and software development teams to build an immersive, intuitive, robust, and full-featured control center for managing and operating world-wide network automation test infrastructure. The Test Automation Control Center will consist of a set of cloud-hosted applications controlling multiple physical on-prem systems distributed worldwide. Control capabilities cover scheduling, monitoring, analyzing, and reporting tests from the initial developer Pull Requests to the final release regression validation. Managed equipment includes the entire range of Celestica switches, high-performance IXIA traffic generators, and a variety of equipment commonly found in data center racks. You will use your knowledge of AI agents to integrate intelligent workflows that select the best automation test cases to run, diagnose test failures for rapid resolution, and analyze test coverage to provide predictive product quality assessment. You are someone who views a "test failure" not as a manual ticket to close, but as a data point for an AI agent to analyze. You prefer building ecosystems over writing one-off scripts, and you are comfortable investigating product failures one minute and integrating agentic AI agents into a CI/CD pipeline the next. Qualifications - Expert Development: Proven experience building complex automation script frameworks using extensive sets of common libraries. - Testing Infrastructure: In depth experience running, triaging, and debugging automation scripts. - Networking & Hardware Context: Familiarity with high-performance networking environments, specifically SONiC, OpenBMC, and data center hardware management. - AI/ML Application: Practical experience integrating AI agents or LLM-based workflows into software applications to automate decision-making and analysis. - Engineering Rigor: Deep understanding of test-driven development (TDD), CI/CD pipelines, and robust software engineering practices. - Systems Thinking: Ability to bridge the gap between cloud-hosted software and physical hardware distributed across global sites. Requirements - Infrastructure & SDLC Integration - Architect & Design: Lead the design and implementation of a robust automation script framework that enables AI to quickly create new automation scripts that will run within a confederation of Automation Testbeds. - Full-Stack Development: Maintain and enhance existing automation scripts to maintain hardened execution reliability. - AI Integration: Integrate agentic AI workflows to automate resolution of script failures. - End-to-End Visibility: Analyze script failures to identify software components that are below accepted reliability standards. - Collaboration: Work closely with DevTestOps and software development teams to ensure the control center provides services to engineers to assist with debugging and retesting updated scripts. Benefits - Salary range: 118K - 184K, including Base Salary and target Short-Term Incentive (STI) compensation. - Comprehensive benefits package offered in addition to the salary range. Physical Demands - Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment. - Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. - Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required. - Occasional travel may be required.
