About the role: As a Sales Development Representative Intern at Starburst, you will get real, hands-on experience in both outbound prospecting and sales operations, two of the most foundational skills in B2B tech sales. You'll spend time cold calling and emailing target accounts to generate pipeline, while also supporting the SDR team with CRM hygiene, reporting, and process improvements. As a Sales Development Representative Intern at Starburst you will: - Research prospects and build targeted account lists within key industries and segments - Maintain and update CRM records (Salesforce) to ensure accurate pipeline and activity data - Conduct cold calls and email outreach to target accounts to generate qualified pipeline for Account Executives - Track and report on outreach performance metrics including call volume, connect rates, and conversion - Support the build-out and optimization of outbound sequences and sales cadences - Collaborate with SDR leadership and Account Executives to refine messaging and identify pipeline gaps - Assist with ad hoc sales operations projects including territory research and competitive analysis Some of the things we look for: - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field - Fearlessness on the phone, you're excited to cold call and learn the art of outbound sales - Strong attention to detail and comfort working with data, CRM tools, and sales reporting - Curiosity about the data and analytics industry and genuine interest in B2B SaaS enterprise sales - Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or eagerness to learn them - Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling outreach - Self-starter mentality with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment This role is based in our Boston, MA office.
