About the role We are seeking a customer-driven Senior Product Manager to lead Starburst’s data connectors product area. In this role, you will focus on unlocking access to customer data wherever it resides. You will work closely with product, engineering, and go-to-market teams to define vision, set priorities, and drive execution. Success in this role requires aligning product strategy with business goals, championing the voice of the customer, and accelerating customer growth by removing barriers to data access. As a Senior Product Manager at Starburst you will: - Build and deliver on a roadmap that balances the needs of customers and internal teams with clear prioritization based on data driven customer insights. - Collaborate with teams globally across multiple time zones and operate in an Agile development environment. - Deeply empathize with and understand Starburst personas. - Own cross-functional interactions for your features. - Collect and summarize usage data/dashboards for decision making and OKR tracking. Some of the things we look for: - 3+ years experience as a Product Manager or Technical Product Manager. - Experience managing Lakehouse product offerings and their ecosystems (e.g. catalogs, permissions, metadata) - Proven ability to operate in a highly technical product area where trade-off choices consider engine performance and span multiple product areas. - Deep understanding of the technical landscape and markets preferred (well versed in databases, data warehousing, data lakes, and familiarity with many of the data infrastructure products in industry). - Entrepreneurial and self motivated personality with a track record for delivering results in fast-moving environments. - Experience with query engines (e.g., Trino/Spark) or data virtualization, and how connectors impact performance, governance, and reliability is a plus - Track record working with or around open-source communities is a plus - Ability to Travel: This role will require 25% in-person travel for purposes including but not limited to new hire onboarding, team and department offsites, customer engagements, and other company events. Actual travel expectations may vary by role and business needs. Where could this role be based? Remote, US Starburst is dedicated to maintaining fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range provided for this role reflects the minimum and maximum targets for candidates across all U.S. locations and could be inclusive of variable compensation, such as commission or bonus. All employees receive equity packages (ISOs) and have access to a comprehensive benefits offering. Job Requirements
