You will thrive in this role if you are: - A curious problem solver who challenges the status quo - A collaborator who values teamwork and knowledge-sharing - Excited by the intersection of technology, creativity and data - Experienced in Agile methodologies and consulting (a plus) Role responsibilities include: - Development and validation of models/algorithms for use cases such as: - Gait analysis and movement pattern recognition (gait pattern, stability, deviations, trend analyses) - New features such as delirium, complex risk indicators, clinical "events" - Experiment Design & Measurability: Definition of metrics, offline evaluation, golden sets, reproducibility, performance/robustness. - Feature Engineering & Representation Learning: Derive meaningful representations from radar data (incl. domain understanding). - Evaluation of new approaches for radar-based patient monitoring (classic ML, deep learning, probabilistic models, first principles, and hybrid methods). Qualifications - Several years of experience as a Senior Data Scientist / ML Engineer / Software Engineer (or equivalent) with demonstrable productive ML systems. - In-depth knowledge of ML (Supervised/Unsupervised, Sequences/Time Series, Anomaly Detection, Classification/Regression) and solid understanding of statistics/evaluation. - First-principles thinking: You can not only "apply" models, but also derive them, question them, and combine them with domain knowledge (hybrid approaches). - Scientific curiosity paired with pragmatism: forming hypotheses, testing experimentally, delivering results. Requirements - Radar/sensor experience (radar in particular, alternatively similar modalities with demanding signal/time series characteristics). - Experience with robust benchmarking (Regression-Suites, Golden Data Replays, A/B-Tests). - Domain know-how in the healthcare context (clinical workflows, outcome-oriented feature definition).
