Role Description This role operates as a true player-coach: you will lead the team while also contributing hands-on to architecture, design, and implementation. You will also contribute by: - Developing strong relationships with Product Management, UX, QA, and partner Engineering teams to ensure smooth execution of projects with many interconnected dependencies. - Managing and mentoring your direct reports through clear expectation-setting, regular feedback, and proactive support for career growth, ownership, and accountability. - Demonstrating deep expertise in financial systems to anticipate risks across accounting, data validation, compliance, and integration complexity, while ensuring technical solutions align with business objectives. - Establishing and upholding high standards of quality, reliability, observability, security, and data integrity within the integrations space. - Driving successful delivery of integration features by managing scope, timelines, and cross-team dependencies—ensuring solutions are correct, stable, and aligned with financial workflows. - Building and retaining a strong engineering team with expertise in system integrations, data pipelines, and financial systems—leveraging both internal recruiting processes and your own network. - Creating and sustaining a positive, high-performing, inclusive culture.
