Block is looking for a Manager, Contractor Growth to own the strategy and execution behind contractor activation, engagement, and proposal conversion across our marketplace. This role sits at the intersection of revenue, contractor experience, and marketplace health. You’ll build the playbook for how we activate and enable contractors nationwide, and translate frontline insights into strategic improvements. The right person is entrepreneurial, analytical, and motivated to build something from the ground up, not just execute a predefined plan. Sales Development Representative – Commercial

• Make 100+ outbound calls per day to franchise brands, restaurant groups, and multi-location businesses • Run cold outreach across phone, email, and LinkedIn • Learn and deliver a clear, repeatable pitch for Block’s commercial offering • Qualify prospects and schedule meetings for the commercial sales team • Maintain accurate activity, notes, and follow-ups in CRM • Track daily activity and performance metrics • Work closely with Sales and Leadership to continuously improve scripts, targeting, and messaging
• Lead and develop a team of 4–6 engineers through mentorship, coaching, and regular feedback, fostering a high-trust, inclusive, and delivery-focused environment • Spend approximately 50% of your time contributing directly to the codebase, owning meaningful product and platform work alongside your team • Partner closely with Product Management, Design, and Engineering Leadership to shape squad goals, scope work, and deliver against the roadmap • Actively participate in architectural decisions, technical design discussions, and code reviews to maintain a high bar for quality and maintainability • Lead by example in adopting and evolving AI-native, agentic development workflows, integrating them into how the team plans, builds, and ships software • Support execution by managing team capacity, prioritization, and delivery while balancing speed, quality, and technical health • Collaborate with Engineering Leadership to evolve standards, processes, and best practices across the organization
