Role Description At Adaptive, we are revolutionizing diagnostic testing by delivering precise, timely, and actionable insights to healthcare providers and their patients. As part of that mission, we are seeking an Integration Engineer to support EMR and LIS integrations across our clinical network. This role partners with internal teams, external vendors, and healthcare organizations to deliver and maintain reliable EMR and LIS integrations supporting ordering, results delivery, and clinical data exchange, and owns the technical strategy and integration architecture across a portfolio of customer integrations. This role is responsible for designing, configuring, testing, and deploying HL7, FHIR, and API-based interfaces and workflows, including establishing reference architectures, standards, and guardrails that drive global process improvements across integration initiatives. This includes analyzing and mapping healthcare data, validating interoperability, and troubleshooting issues to improve stability across systems and reliability across the integration portfolio. Expertise with Mirth Connect is required. This role also collaborates with product and engineering teams to support live integrations, enhance automation, and optimize performance as Adaptive expands its data connectivity footprint. These collaborative partnerships require the role to demonstrate subject matter expertise as the primary technical function for our integration portfolio and related systems. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree + 7 years of experience in Health IT integration, EMR interoperability, or a closely related field (or Master’s + 5 years) - Proven technical leadership of multiple cross-functional integration initiatives - Deep proficiency in HL7 v2 (ADT, ORU, ORM, etc.), FHIR (R4), and API-based integrations (REST, SOAP, OAuth 2.0, JSON, XML) - Hands-on experience with EHR systems such as Epic (Aura, Care Everywhere), Cerner, Flatiron, or similar platforms - Mirth Connect expertise - Strong JavaScript for data validation and troubleshooting, familiarity with Unix command-line, Git, and serialization formats (JSON, CSV, XML) - Demonstrated ability to analyze, map, and validate healthcare data to ensure data quality and interoperability - Deep understanding of HIPAA, PHI security, and regulatory compliance in clinical data exchange environments - Proficiency with monitoring and logging tools to track interface performance and resolve production issues - Exceptional communication and documentation skills - Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent integrations with detailed workflows, test plans, and go-live documentation - Detail-oriented with a focus on system stability, data integrity, and post-go-live optimization Requirements - Experience with genetics, oncology, laboratory workflows, or clinical decision support integrations - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - High emotional intelligence and proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments - Passion for exceptional client service and intrinsic motivation to deliver excellence in diagnostics or health IT settings Benefits - Salary Range: $90,000 - $135,000 - Equity grant - Bonus eligible Working Conditions - Primarily remote with infrequent travel (up to 5%) for client engagements, go-lives, and/or training - May require occasional work during evenings or weekends to support critical implementations - Daily use of a computer and virtual communication tools

Develop and maintain automation and deployment processes to enable and improve developer experience and efficiency.
