Role Description Mayvue is seeking a highly motivated Software Development Manager to lead a high-performing engineering team to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable software for Mayvue’s customers. You’ll set the technical direction, coach engineers, and drive outcomes through clear KPIs and data-driven decisions. This position offers both in-office (Pittsburgh, PA) and the flexibility of being remote. You tell us what works for you! - Own results: Define and manage team KPIs (e.g., delivery predictability, cycle time, deployment frequency, change failure rate, MTTR, defect escape rate, uptime/SLAs, customer satisfaction) and use them to guide priorities and improvements. - Lead the team: Hire, coach, and develop engineers. Set goals, run effective 1:1s, and foster a culture of accountability, learning, and inclusion. - Ship with quality: Oversee planning, estimation, and execution; remove blockers; enforce engineering standards (code reviews, testing, CI/CD). - Provide technical leadership: Guide architecture and design decisions; review code; ensure maintainability, performance, and security. - Partner with stakeholders: Collaborate with Product, Customer Success, and Leadership to align roadmaps, communicate status and risks, and hit commitments. - Support go-to-market: Help launch new products/features, coordinate readiness, and close the loop with customers and support. - Roll up your sleeves: Pitch in on development, troubleshooting, and QA when needed. Job Requirements
