EPE is looking to recruit a Manager of Interconnection Services covering the SERC region. In this role, you’ll leverage a blend of commercial acumen and technical depth to guide our clients through the resource interconnection process across various utilities in the Southeast. Responsibilities - Leadership & Technical Skills: - Lead, mentor, and empower a diverse team of engineers fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation. - When required, step in to perform advanced interconnection studies and support the team in troubleshooting complex issues. - Demonstrate extreme ownership by taking responsibility for outcomes, decisions, and overall team success. - Enhance internal capability by coaching staff on both technical and client-facing skills. - Enhance delivery frameworks, QA/QC processes, and drive cross collaboration to ensure the team scales effectively. - Client & Market Impact: - Serve as a trusted advisor to generation and large developers helping them navigate SERC's evolving interconnection landscape. - Translate complex technical issues into clear and actionable insights that accelerate client decision-making and support project success. - Leverage strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills to gather necessary input and make informed recommendations even in situations where there is inherent ambiguity. - Lead reviews of interconnection studies and identify creative pathways to remove roadblocks and expedite projects. - Commercial & Strategic Growth: - Identify and pursue new service lines and products. - Lead proposal and RFP development efforts. - Contribute thought leadership through conferences, technical papers, and industry forums. - Drive the development of internal tools and analytics that strengthen EPE’s position in the market. Qualifications - Minimum 4 years of experience in the electric energy industry and ideally having a solid technical background in transmission planning or interconnection. - Strong understanding of power system analysis and associated software tools (e.g., PSS/E, TARA PSCAD, PSLF, or PowerWorld). - Proven ability to connect the dots between technical depth and commercial strategy. - Exceptional communicator who can influence, create alignment and make decisions confidently under uncertainty. - Strong understanding of the interconnection requirements of at least one major utility in SERC. - Strong written and verbal communication and ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Lead a team of engineers building Software Supply Chain Security features with a focus on CI job artifact security. • Guide the design and implementation of SLSA (Supply-chain Levels for Software Artifacts) compliance within GitLab CI/CD pipelines. • Collaborate with Product Managers to define, prioritize, and deliver the roadmap for supply chain security capabilities. • Partner with Security team members to ensure new and existing features meet GitLab’s security standards and align with best practices. • Stay current with software supply chain security standards and tools, including SLSA, SBOM, software composition analysis, and vulnerability management. Translate what you learn into actionable product improvements. • Educate and advocate for supply chain security best practices across engineering teams to drive adoption of secure patterns in CI pipelines. • Represent the Pipeline Security team in cross-functional initiatives and, when appropriate, in external industry forums focused on software supply chain security. • Drive continuous improvement in team health, delivery predictability, and documentation quality for pipeline and supply chain security features.
