In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate revenue recognition processes within a rapidly growing software environment. You will manage month-end close activities, oversee complex contract reviews, and collaborate with various stakeholders. Your expertise will drive best practices in revenue accounting and support the financial team's forecasting efforts. Accountabilities - Perform review of complex, non-standard contracts regarding revenue recognition for multi-deliverables. - Coordinate auditor participation and ensure timely sign-off of material contracts. - Ensure capture of contract review information in company systems such as Salesforce. - Prepare technical revenue accounting memoranda related to product commercial models. - Contribute to the close cycle by preparing and processing journal entries. - Participate in the preparation of the monthly CFO revenue analysis. - Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve complex revenue accounting issues. - Support the Financial Planning and Analysis team in revenue forecasting. - Act as a technical revenue recognition expert in operational stakeholder Deal Rooms. - Participate in go-to-market initiatives for new products and commercial models. - Assist the Revenue Operations team by testing data accuracy. - Collaborate with Information Systems to maintain data integrity. - Cross-train with other accounting and finance personnel as necessary. - Serve as liaison with external auditors during the annual audit process. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in accounting required. - CPA or progress towards CPA required. - Minimum of 1 year of revenue accounting experience, preferably in software/SaaS. - Deep understanding of ASC606 mandatory. - Public accounting experience preferred, mix of public and private is ideal. - Prior experience with Netsuite is an advantage. - Strong attention to detail with high accuracy required. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary. - Highly motivated, organized, and a quick learner. - Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of staff and management.
