Role Description The Automation Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining automation tools, managing database operations, performing media quality checks, preparing lab environments for research studies, and ensuring efficient file handling to support team workflows. - Build and maintain Python scripts for automation and process optimization. - Manage and update MySQL databases with accuracy and efficiency. - Set up, configure, and troubleshoot devices for lab studies. - Perform QA checks on video and audio files. - Organize and track media files to ensure proper naming and storage. - Troubleshoot technical and process issues quickly. Qualifications - Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation. - Strong experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases (including Amazon RDS). - Familiarity with FFmpeg for media processing and conversion. - Comfortable using the macOS terminal and writing shell scripts. - Hands-on experience with AWS S3 for storage and data management. - Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis. - Working knowledge of iOS (iPhone) and Android platforms for testing and troubleshooting. - Experience with device setup, configuration, and testing across multiple platforms. - Ability to perform media quality assurance (QA) and manage large file sets. - Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on process automation. - Excellent documentation skills and ability to communicate effectively across teams.
