Scopely is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to join our Monopoly GO! team in our Culver City studio hub, or remotely within the US! For this position, we are open to applications from candidates ranging from Associate to Senior level. What You Will Do You will have the opportunity to work in one of our game team pods, developing new features and contributing to a game that is played by millions of players around the world. You will be responsible for: - Working closely with a small cross functional team to deliver world class content to our players - Implementing new game mechanics and unit tests using Unity and C# - Ensuring technical performance is outstanding throughout development - Collaborating and communicating with multi-functional departments including: game design, QA, etc - Participating in a strong engineering team and culture What We’re Looking For - Experience as part of a professional game development team or other relevant area - Experience with and knowledge of Unity Game Engine or a similar technology (i.e. Unreal Engine) - Strong software engineering fundamentals (data structures, concurrency, design patterns, algorithms) - Knowledge of game framework architecture at scale, maintainability over time, robust API design, etc - Solid understanding of mobile networking architecture - Enjoy solving sophisticated technical problems, especially in large systems - Willingness to learn and work with new technologies - You’re an excellent tech communicator who knows how to share knowledge with non-technical people - You have a desire to seek out and address user feedback to drive outstanding application development Bonus Points - Experience building your own games as personal projects or game jams - Experience with asset pipelines: asset bundles, dependency management, etc - Mobile experience (iOS and Android): ability to debug native device issues, strong understanding of hardware and platform limitations, performance metrics, etc. - Experience with AWS, Docker, Kibana, Ansible - Experience with automated testing At Scopely, we create games for everyone - and want to ensure that the people behind our games reflect that!
