The Senior Engineer, Cloud is responsible for engineering and maintaining complex cloud environments. This role is responsible for delivering complex, highly secure, high-performance, scalable, cloud-first/could native solutions that meet or exceed RTO/RPO requirements. The Senior Engineer’s role includes developing, implementing, and maintaining cloud platform tools that are fundamental to the operation of the cloud team. Other responsibilities include disaster recovery and business continuity, cost optimization, security and compliance remediation, performance monitoring, and vendor engagement. Responsibilities - Operations: Function as an advanced technical resource for the Cloud Services environment, overseeing daily activities, governance, operationalization, and cost management of cloud platforms. Develop and maintain tools that support the operation of cloud platforms (i.e., cloud patching, cloud migration, infrastructure such as code provisioning, and configuration management). Identify and implement cost-optimization changes related to rightsizing, the uptime scheduler, and environment cleanup. Implement and manage cloud resources to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
