Job Description The Field Marketing Specialist coordinates and delivers a consistent regional brand experience across all channels. Acting as a central liaison, they collaborate with sales agencies, partners, and ambassadors to strengthen brand presence at key distribution points. As the brand’s representative in the field, they provide insights on market trends, competitors, and product performance. Focused on driving sell-through and consumer demand, the role activates product demos, trials, and events. This position supports the growth of Salomon’s business in the PNW territory and beyond as needed. SCOPE OF WORK: This role fosuses on our Performance category - Run (60%), Outdoor (40%) Priorities defined seasonally by manager. Here are the main duties of the role: Community Marketing - Design and deliver impactful consumer events centered around new product demos that inspire trial and excitement. - Cultivate strong brand affinity by leading community-driven activations such as Salomon TV screenings, How to Trail Run workshops, run/hike clubs, and product launch events. - Support national and sponsored events within the territory to maximize brand visibility and consumer reach. - Partner with sales agencies to execute high‑quality consumer trial experiences. - Lead and empower regional brand ambassadors through training, product support, event coordination, and clear community guidelines. - Bring the brand to life in key markets by executing best‑in‑class marketing activations with specialty dealers and strategic accounts in epicenter locations. In‑Store Experience / Shopper Marketing - Strengthen brand advocacy by executing training programs and incentive initiatives aligned with our recommendation strategy. - Deliver engaging in‑store and virtual training sessions that turn retail staff into confident product experts and passionate brand champions. - Present compelling product stories and programs to elevate staff engagement and drive deeper loyalty. - Support sell‑through contests with select accounts to encourage performance and excitement. - Implement point‑of‑purchase displays and uphold visual merchandising guidelines to ensure an elevated, on‑brand consumer experience. - Guarantee seamless campaign execution, aligned with the consumer calendar and business priorities. - Prepare key stores for leadership visits, ensuring a polished and impactful brand representation. - Provide support to internal marketing teams at the Ogden HQ as needed. Digital - Keep local events up to date on relevant sport pages of the website to drive participation and engagement. - Support the review strategy in collaboration with the community ambassador team. - Facilitate digital toolkit usage for specialty accounts to enhance online brand presence. - Provide localized content and educational materials, such as “How‑To” videos and epicenter stories, to support digital visibility. Tracking & Reporting - Manage travel expenses and the local marketing budget with accuracy and accountability. - Use designated KPI tracking tools (e.g., Replsy, Contentful, Seasonal Playbooks) to measure impact and performance. - Maintain a detailed database of all community ambassadors and shop pros by sport and category, including contact info, product usage, and social handles. Additional Projects - Participate in additional marketing initiatives and cross‑functional projects as assigned. Qualifications Required Education and Experience - 1-3 years practical experience in the running, outdoor and/or sneaker industry is preferred. - B.S. or B.A. In Business, Marketing or related field, or equivalent combination of education and related experience Main skills and competencies: - Planning, organizing and preparation - Presentation skills - Strong self-awareness and ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders - Excellent communication skills and accountability in a remote position - Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects at once - Budget management - Passionate about their sport practice Additional Information PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING ENVIRONMENT The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
