The Communications Specialist is a key strategic partner responsible for driving clarity, consistency, and engagement across the organization. This role serves as a bridge between leadership and the business by managing the internal knowledge hub (OneAmbius), designing high-impact visual presentations, and ensuring that all internal and external communications reflect the professional standards of the brand. Duties & Responsibilities - Act as the primary administrator for the Google Sites intranet; managing layout, visual hierarchy, and content updates to ensure colleagues stay informed and connected. - Partner with leadership to translate complex data and business strategies into professional, high-impact presentations (Google Slides/PowerPoint) for internal meetings and town halls. - Develop and execute internal newsletters, cultural updates, and organizational announcements using tools like Mailchimp to drive high employee engagement and sentiment scores. - Assist department leaders in drafting internal memos and announcements to ensure alignment with the broader organization's vision and tone. - Draft and refine the "voice" of customer-facing communications regarding invoicing and e-service templates, ensuring the tone is professional, helpful, and mirrors the brand's premium standards. - Act as a brand steward, ensuring all customer-facing touchpoints—from social media to service notifications—adhere to the established brand voice. - Coordinate with the Internal Communications team to ensure all Ambius-specific messaging aligns with broader company-wide standards and strategic pillars. - Maintain a centralized communications calendar shared with the internal communications team to provide full visibility into all activity, preventing "message fatigue" among colleagues. - Participate in regular cross-functional communication syncs to share best practices and ensure brand voice consistency across different business units - Participate in regular cross-functional communication syncs to share best practices and ensure brand voice consistency across different business units Candidate Requirements Education - Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or other relevant field OR equivalent years of experience. Equivalent years of experience are defined as one year of applicable professional experience for each year of college requested. Experience - A minimum of 3-5 years in a corporate communications or agency environment. - Hands-on experience with Mailchimp or similar platforms, including audience segmentation, template design, and analytics (open/click rates). - Familiarity with Canva or Adobe Express to create clean, professional headers for newsletters and announcements. Skills & Competencies - Advanced proficiency in Google Sites (intranet architecture), Google Slides (presentation design), and Google Docs. - Ability to create professional, brand-aligned visual assets using tools like Canva, Adobe Express, or similar design software. - Skilled in organizing complex information into intuitive, easy-to-navigate digital layouts (specifically for internal knowledge hubs). - Exceptional ability to draft clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences, ranging from executive leadership to frontline employees. - Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional leaders (IT, Marketing, Finance) to gather information and align messaging. - Strategic alignment mindset, ensuring that local initiatives are always viewed through the lens of the company’s overall communication strategy. - Strong organizational diplomacy with the ability to negotiate timing and placement of messages within the broader corporate communications ecosystem. - Agility in workflow management, specifically the ability to pivot communication schedules based on real-time organizational priorities and urgent updates. - A self-starter who identifies communication gaps and independently proposes creative solutions. - Ability to distill complex corporate initiatives into simple, actionable, and engaging messages. Base Pay Range Yearly: $70,000.00 - $96,000.00 While starting pay falls within the given range, it can vary based on factors like geographic location, skills, education, and experience. Overview The Internal Communications Specialist is a high-output role focused on content creation and tactical deployment using next-gen tools.
