Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented LMS Administrator to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) in the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) learning management system. The ideal candidate brings hands-on JKO experience, a solid understanding of federal training requirements, and the ability to collaborate effectively across military and civilian stakeholder teams. Experience working in a federal contracting environment is strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities LMS Administration & Course Management - Serve as the primary administrator for the Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) LMS, managing course uploads, enrollments, learning plans, and system configurations - Build, publish, and maintain eLearning courses, assessments, and curricula within JKO in accordance with DHA standards - Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, and organizational hierarchies within the LMS - Troubleshoot and resolve LMS issues for learners, instructors, and administrators in a timely manner - Ensure all course content meets Section 508 accessibility requirements and applicable DoD/DHA compliance standards Reporting & Data Management - Generate, analyze, and distribute training completion reports, dashboards, and ad hoc data pulls to support DHA leadership and program managers - Monitor training completion rates and flag non-compliance to appropriate stakeholders - Maintain accurate learner records and audit trails in accordance with federal records management requirements - Support data calls and reporting requirements related to mandatory training programs Stakeholder Support & Collaboration - Serve as the primary point of contact for LMS-related inquiries from DHA program offices, course owners, and end users - Collaborate with instructional designers and eLearning developers to ensure seamless content integration into JKO - Provide training and guidance to course managers and content owners on LMS functionality and best practices - Coordinate with the JKO help desk and platform administrators on system updates, outages, and technical issues Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement - Conduct regular audits of course content, user data, and system configurations to ensure accuracy and integrity - Identify opportunities to improve LMS workflows, user experience, and reporting capabilities - Stay current on JKO platform updates, new features, and DoD eLearning policy changes - Document LMS processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and user guides Required Qualifications - 3–5 years of experience administering a learning management system, preferably JKO or another DoD/federal LMS platform - Demonstrated experience managing user accounts, course content, and reporting within an enterprise LMS environment - Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI (Tin Can), and AICC standards and how they interact with LMS platforms - Strong analytical skills with the ability to produce accurate, meaningful training reports from LMS data - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical audiences - Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and system integrity - Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (clearance level determined by program requirements) - U.S. citizenship required Preferred Qualifications - Prior experience supporting Defense Health Agency (DHA) or other Military Health System (MHS) programs - Hands-on experience with JKO as an administrator or course manager - Experience working in a federal contracting environment, including familiarity with contract deliverables, performance standards, and government oversight - Working knowledge of Section 508 compliance requirements and accessibility standards for digital learning content - Familiarity with DoD training policies, including DoDI 1322.26 and related directives governing distributed learning - Experience with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise) and collaboration with instructional design teams - Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Project+, Certified Government Learning Professional (CGLP), or LMS platform certifications Work Environment & Schedule - Full-time, 40 hours per week - On-site, hybrid, or remote schedule commensurate with contract requirements and government direction - May require occasional support outside of core business hours to address system outages or urgent training deadlines About This Opportunity This position supports critical training and readiness initiatives within the Defense Health Agency.
