Truestone, an Akima company, is currently seeking to add a Senior Aternity (End-User System Monitoring) Engineer to the team who will manage an Aternity platform in a government environment. The Aternity platform is a critical platform to monitor, analyze, and optimize end-user devices and application performance. Aternity focuses on improving the employee experience by analyzing data trends, collecting data through monitoring agents, and collaborating with IT teams to resolve performance incidents. Work location: REMOTE supporting the customer in South Burlington VT Responsibilities - Performance Monitoring: Proactively track the health of applications and Windows/Mac endpoints, moving from reactive to proactive symptom monitoring. - Platform Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Aternity agents and servers to ensure accurate metric collection. - Data Analysis: Utilize Aternity dashboards to analyze user experience, identify bottlenecks, and generate reports on KPIs. - Incident Resolution: Investigate performance issues, identify root causes, and collaborate with support teams to resolve issues. - Optimization: Create custom business process flows and monitor end-user activity, such as response times, for key applications. Qualifications - Must be a US Citizen able to obtain and maintain a government Public Trust clearance and pass a DHS background check. - Bachelor’s of Science degree or equivalent. - 10 years overall IT experience with 5+ years hands on experience with Aternity or similar end-user device performance monitoring tools. - Must be willing to work East Coast schedule to accommodate the customer needs. - Technical Skills: - Proficiency with the Aternity platform building custom dashboards and monitoring solutions for end-user devices. - Knowledge of upgrade process and patching is essential. - Desired skills include knowledge of API integrations, Active Directory, and Group Policy. - Knowledge of PowerShell, Python, or similar languages for automation. - Familiar with ServiceNow and how it integrates with Aternity, SQL, and Tableau. • Support and maintain graphics, UDT, and PLC code repositories, including change management, version control practices, and controlled release into production environments • Coordinate with internal Automation Engineering stakeholders, project teams, and contractors to ensure alignment with company goals, standards, and critical continuous improvement initiatives • Drive, develop, and manage automation standards, architecture guidelines, SOPs, and user documentation supporting both regional and portfolio-wide needs • Design and evolve automation architectures, data models, UDT frameworks, and reusable logic to support new construction and sustaining operations • Support development, testing, and controlled deployment of new automation applications and updates • Provide development-focused support during commissioning activities, including validation of software functionality, alarming behavior, and data integrity • Collaborate with Design, Engineering, Construction, Reliability Engineering, Site Operations, and Automation Engineering peers to deliver and sustain reliable automation solutions • Act as an escalation and advisory resource for complex automation issues impacting live, mission-critical systems • Develop automation logic and visualization applications based on project documentation including drawings, sequences of operation, bills of material, and instrumentation diagrams • Design and maintain Ignition gateway architectures, including redundancy, performance, and long-term maintainability considerations • Promote abstraction, reuse, and standardization of automation logic across the portfolio • Provide technical leadership to integration team members and staff augmentation resources without direct people management responsibility
